- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 6537086, 7 years agoExcellent add-on! Much appreciated!
Would it be possible to add an additional feature in the settings:
Close All Tabs And Minimize Window
Especially useful if it could have be easily run from the X icon.
Before Firefox Quantum, I had created my own personal add-on with that specific functionality. I found that very very useful. (Now, with Quantum, I don't have the time or inspriation to learn Web Extensions,) - Rated 5 out of 5by Dewnan, 7 years agoThis is the best of the tab closing addons with a context menu, close left, close right, all others. Excellent!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Mark, 7 years agoHi. I'm just curious as to why you also didn't include a normal "Close Tab" option in the page context menu to close only the current tab? I had to install a different extension (Close Tab Context Menu) to get that function. I know I could move my mouse cursor up to the tab and close it that way or use the keyboard shortcuts but for years I've gotten into the habit of doing everything via right-click context menus.
EDIT: I notice that is also not part of the extension options for the toolbar button either. - Rated 5 out of 5by Carlito the Maximum, 7 years agoClean and simple. Easier-to-see icon than other similar add-ons. Provides both a button and a right-click context menu item. Kudos, and thanks!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Riksoft, 7 years agoVery useful since Mozilla doesn't care to add a couple of fu..ng hotkeys for the everyday tasks like closing tabs right/left/others.
So I use this one +
"Close tabs to the right button" +
"Shortkeys (Custom keyboard shortcuts) for Firefox)"
to be able to close left (with this addon) + right + "all the others" with the other 2 addons.
If this extension could have more than one button (or shortcuts... that would be nice anyway) I would use only this one for the 3 actions. - Rated 5 out of 5by Sean Ryan, 7 years agoVery useful - thanks! Exactly what I was looking for - a simple extension to Close ALL Tabs and provide Close LEFT Tabs which is missing in Firefox. My most frequent action is clicking the toolbar icon, with the Option action set to "Close All Tabs and Open New". I like that you've included all choices in the tab context sub-menu - even though a few exist on the Firefox main context menu - because my habit will be to always look there for all tab closure choices.

posted 7 years agoDue to the limitations of WebExtensions API multiple toolbar buttons for a single addon is not possible. However you can change the default action for the toolbar button in the addon settings.- Rated 5 out of 5by Andrew, 7 years agoGreat! I've found exactly what I'm looking for. It would be nice to add options to the right-click menu for tabs. Is it possible?
Developer response
posted 7 years agoHi Andrew! Yeah It can be done. But Firefox's default right-click menu for tabs has already got some options such 'Close tabs to the right', 'Close other tabs' and 'Close Tab'. If the remaining options were added it cannot be grouped along with default options as it forms a new group of menu. So I'm little hesitant to do it.
Edit: Tab menu support is now added.
