One star deduction if the timer of the advertisement is at 0, then the advertisement must be skipped independently.

posted a year agoHi and thanks for the review. You might want to try out my new "ASS YouTube ads" add-on in combination with this one. The ASS stands for "Automatically skip skippable".

- Rated 5 out of 5by Did you know it's impossible to lick you own elbow, 4 months agoGreat addon works perfectly for me (FF on macOS). Consistently mutes all pre-video and interrupting ads, and unmutes afterwards. Practically no delays bar the occasional single word. YouTube is no longer a infuriatingly invasive corporate experience (long as you don't mind watching the hapless actors soundlessly selling their dignity for a few seconds). Many thanks to the developer 🙏
Also, I'm a coder though not a massive security expert, but have scanned the source code and found nothing that looks suspicious. This seems safe, but given the small user base I'm going to disable auto-updates and manually inspect any updated source code only if/when the addon breaks. You might want to do likewise. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13909586, 9 months ago

1. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mute-youtube-ads/.
2. Right click and "View Source", search for ".xpi".
3. Right click the .xpi link and "Save as" .zip.
4. Extract the saved .zip (the source is all there).
