You gave only four stars but you didn't say what is missing. Please tell me what is missing, otherwise I don't know what I have to improve.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17863908, a day agoI like this addon, it works fine despite being a little confusing UI/Options wise. However there is a glaring issue which is it ignores the users preferences for DNS. It leaks your newtab request to third parties (Cloudflare from what I'm seeing) when all your other Firefox settings have that disabled.
@dev (since there is no reply) reporting to Mozilla is like screaming at a wall to move. They've also been ruining Firefox for years and I'm sure the internal goal is to continue the trend of ignoring user feedback and making things worse. So I have zero confidence reporting to anyone else would correct things.
If this is an issue with the interface you are forced to use it doesn't change the fact it's still true. If as a developer you are unable to use an API/function that works for your purposes and adheres to the security/DNS settings a user has set up then so be it. I doesn't mean I shouldn't tell you (or other users) and I never said you were doing anything malicious, though I did not dig into what DNS the request is sent to, only that it comes back from CloudFlare.
Testing: I run local services and one is a "new tab speed dial" for several users. I monitor logs for external requests. If I open the url from a bookmark or by manually typing it in, the page loads and the server log shows nothing as it's an internal request. However if you open with NewTabOverride all the sudden the page loads and the logs show an external IP (cloudflare) requesting the page. i.e. requests are no longer adhering to settings and sending queries to third party services.Developer response
posted 13 hours agoNew Tab Override has nothing to do with DNS settings at all! If you think, that your settings are being ignored, report it to Mozilla as this add-on only uses WebExtension APIs to open tabs. - Rated 5 out of 5by Harin Khakhi, 8 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by joefiesta, 2 months agoIt was working fine. But, no longer. I have chosen custom URL (https ://www google com /advanced_search). It doesn't go there upon opening new tab.
It may have been updating firefox to 136.0.4. (spaces added to URL - review does not allow otherwise)
EDIT: Okay, now I got it work. I had to uninstall it and re-install. Something Firefox did somewhere broke it, but I can't say what. I certainly never touched it. Developer response

It was a feature in „vanilla Firefox“ in the past, but it was abused by bad players and therefore Mozilla was forced to remove the option. But at the same time they gave extension developers the ability. So we have to be thankful to Mozilla.- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17434746, 2 months agoThe Bets! But, I can't donate through paypal cus they charge a fee! Suggest Venmo or other donation platform because PayPal is also run by APartheid NaXis!

It was possible several years ago, but Mozilla had to take this option from Firefox because hijacking was a real problem at that time. But we should be thankful, because Mozilla provided a WebExtension API on the first time when they removed this option. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18771567, 4 months ago
