About this extension
Amazon loves to constantly redirect you to their 'featured' sort instead of what you've chosen yourself. This sort is actually, internall, 'we accept kickbacks from sellers in order to give customers worse results. This harms you, harms the market, and makes us short-term cash. We know that this will destroy consumer trust over time, but our VPs would rather make their bonuses, retire, and sell their shares, so it doesn't matter. Leadership doesn't have the guts to make the VPs not tell eng to do this kind of deceptive, manipulative, exploitative thing.'. You can help Amazon long-term, and yourself, by not accepting this redirection. This extension is fairly primitive - it simply detects cases where you are on the 'featured' sort and if they are found, immediately redirects you to the same page but with the 'best sellers' filter enabled. The code is generated by claude and is very simple, please decompile and examine it yourself. You can also quite easily reimplement it using claude.ai for free without having to trust me at all.
