- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15700431, 5 years agoGlad I found this! The Privacy Browser by Soren Stoutner has this as a built-in feature, so I'm glad you're providing it as an addon for FF.
In the Privacy Browser, it not only offers the option to remove "&fbclid=" and "?fbclid=", but also "&fbadid=" and "?fbadid=". Then there is Google Analytics ("&utm_" and "?utm_"), and Twitter's AMP redirection ("?amp=1").
Maybe you can extend this your addon to one mighty ulr-cleaner… :D - Rated 5 out of 5by Ibuprophen, 5 years agoWorks as stated. I sometimes have to manually remove them when I wasn't to share a link as I don't want this tracking id in it. GREAT JOB DEV!!! :-)

I have FF65. Developer response
posted 6 years agoThat's odd, so when you click links in facebook the page they open into still has the fbclid variable in the URL bar?
