I personally find it annoying that the ambient mode is enabled by default. I prefer to use private browsing on a regular basis which makes it worse. So I created this add-on to avoid some headache. if anyone else needs something like this, hope this is useful for them as well. (there are other extensions which modify youtube, but could not find one that does this.)
