- Rated 1 out of 5by vinnyfox, 8 months agoAbsolute ridiculous, untested software. There wasn't a stable version of this extension for the past 6 months.
In version 5.18.7, the extension fails to authenticate the user

- Rated 1 out of 5by Mark, 9 months agoAutofill does NOT work. Whole reason I have this extension is for that but does not work. Have to manually go in and copy/paste. Been broken too for a long time so idk if Nord is going to bother fixing it.

posted 9 months agoHey Mark, I'm Dominik and I work as Product Manager at NordPass. We are crafting plan to massively fix issues with autofill at once for repetitive errors through machine learning techniques, but at the same time we're still investigating errors website by website.
Please let me know on which sites do you face the problem most often. Also, please ensure that you have given NordPass a permission to automatically fill the data by right clicking on the extension logotype in the Firefox browser and selecting "Manage extension" from the dropdown list.
On the other hand, directly in the NordPass application settings (not settings of Firefox store) that are hidden under the gear icon you can find section for Autofill & Autosave functionalities. Please double check how they are set - if you haven't blocked autofill for certain websites and if instant login option is turned on to make your experience way, way more comfortable.
Cheers,
Dominik - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18489831, 9 months agoNecessary add-on just to view passwords (not possible without). Requests access to all website data. Ridiculous.

posted 9 months agoHi there, I am Dominik and I am responsible for user experience in NordPass. Permission we ask for is the industry standard and it is necessary in every browser, so extension can use the data you saved in it for autofill purposes. We are zero knowledge company and your information is thoroughly encrypted - only you, through the Master Password, can decrypt it and then view or copy. If you have any other concerns, do not hesitate to leave them. :) - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17801051, 9 months agoI'm using this plugin to do one thing, and one thing only - to autofill my login creds on stored websites. It doesn't do that.
Currently I have to either manually open the plugin and copy/paste the login and password, or do the same with the desktop app.
What is the point of having a browser plugin if it doesn't offer basic functionality?Developer response
posted 9 months agoHello, please ensure you gave NordPass a permission to copy and autofill the data. It can be done in application settings in browser store. Also, please remember about setting autofill & autosave options in your own style directly inside NordPass application - they can be found under gear icon. Cheers! - Rated 1 out of 5by Miguel Flores, 9 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18481257, 9 months agoIn general I like Nord's products and I do use NordPass on other devices but I have to say that they really dropped the ball on this extension and their customer support.
I wrote them to inquire if it would be possible to add biometrics for Firefox. There is currently no support and I consider this a security hazard. They replied there is support and to look well in the settings. After 11 emails where I send them data, screenshots etc....they finally say 'We are sorry but there is currently no support for biometrics in Firefox'. This is a joke.
Use other password management tools, NordPass has no intention of making this one reliable or grow.
EDIT AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE (SEE BELOW):
If as they say, bio-metrics in Firefox is treated as a security hazard, this should have been the first response I get from their team. Opposed to no response after 11 emails and finally a relevant and informed response on a Firefox review months later.Developer response
posted 9 months agoHello, I am Dominik and I am responsible for product at NordPass. Situation is exactly opposite, because for now availability of biometrics on Firefox on MacOS is treated as security hazard. That's why we don't support Firefox MacOS with our authenticator (two-factor codes) in the browser extension. We do support though Firefox on Windows, as well as other browsers like Chrome and sister chromium-based browsers.
We don't know yet when we're going to unlock biometrics on Firefox MacOS back, but probably not sooner than in 2025. Let me know if that answers your concerns.
Cheers,

- Rated 1 out of 5by Cody, 9 months agoEver since the update from the desktop app to the browser-only extension, it never works. What was the point of killing the app? It worked just fine. Go back to the app or fix your mistake.
Developer response
posted 9 months agoHey Cody, please let us know which functionalities does not work you exactly. We're sure majority of them works just fine. If you talk about autofill, remember about giving NordPass permission to copy the data. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18471890, 9 months agoThis is a generic "update" from the original "Desktop" addon. Now you have to login to Desktop AND the browser plugin.
The Desktop is the better option as it's easier to use for notes and better interface. The plugin should be used as simplicity for autofill on webpages, not as the overall product.
PLEASE bring back desktop functionality to this plugin!Developer response
posted 9 months agoWith the standalone extension, you don't need to use desktop app anymore. Everything is perfectly covered within new browser add-on. To quickly add secure note, click extension logotype, + icon at the bottom of the extension dropdown and then write a note on the dedicated browser page. Voila. :)
Cheers/

- Rated 1 out of 5by Alex, 10 months agoWorked for a couple days and now it doesn't (even after uninstalling & reinstalling). Even clicking the nord icon on password prompts provides no response. Useless now.
May as well have all my passwords on notepad to copy and paste and just use control-f to quick search them. Other one worked just fine.Developer response

It keeps refreshing to the email log in page. I chatted with Nord support; hoping to get some resolution the next few days. I want to use this browser because Chrome is slower than a dehydrated snail.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Trellisdublin, 10 months agoUnfortunately, it doesn't work anymore. Don't know why actually. Tried to deinstall and reinstall it. Nothing seems to work. Quite frustrating, because I am paying for this service. Don't I? Even more frustrating, because it used to work very good.

posted 10 months agoWe're sorry to hear you're having issues. Could you please provide more details about the problem to our support team at support@nordpass.com. We’ll try to resolve this for you. - Rated 1 out of 5by mpsbarra, 10 months agoThis new updated browser-only add-on is terrible. It constantly logs me out. Never had this problem with the desktop-based add-on. I will not be renewing my NordPass subscription. The macOS desktop app is very sluggish as well. 1Password on Linux is better than NordPass on macOS.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18453542, 10 months agoDiese App ist schlichtweg mittlerweile der letzte Dreck!!!!!!!
- Rated 1 out of 5by NotYou, 10 months agoI paid for this and it's not usable. All it does is disable the auto-fill-in which means I have to manually enter every password. So it doesn't do what it is supposed to do and this is what I paid for? What a rip-off! BUYER BEWARE!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18453307, 10 months agoI don't know what's happened but why can I no longer log-in with my fingerprint? Why is the standalone app no longer recognised as being a source of data by the browser? This update has made a paid-for product really awful. Please fix it or I'll be looking to switch app very quickly.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Angrier, 10 months agoI don't know what's happened, but the NordPass firefox extension has suddenly rendered NordPass unworkable. It will no longer open a website, remeber ID's, usernames or passwords. It is worse than useless

- Rated 1 out of 5by chuck norris, 10 months agoI really don't know how they screwed this up so much, having both a master password and an account password, even after I have done 2FA to log into the website, where upon then the extension takes over and then asks for my master password which I can't get because trying to go to the site which has the hash I need to reset my master password forces me back into the extension, so I have to use another device, but their android app doesn't even have biometric integration, it just opens the website to authenticate, so I can't get it there, and if you try to disable the plugin, the website doesn't even load, so I can't login to write down any information I might need, ... and so on and so forth... this is so stupid and unusable unless you write down both your password and your master password... how about hey, here is my thumb print, now please remind me my passwords ... I mean what even is the point of the master password to begin with...
