- Great program! I am looking to replace nzbunity.
The only difficulty I am having is that the program works great as long as you have the pop up dialog for the nzb sites set to on.
But, if you set NZB file download interception > Edit Domain > NZBSettings Dialog to off, the program no longer forwards the requests to nzbget.
The program works fine with this on, but not with the dialog turned off.
I would like to have the dialog turned off, so I can simply click nzb's with one click, like I used to in nzb unity ( nzb unity was too slow, hence the reason for my interest in using your application instead).
This would completely "enhance my user experience". ( I know, I used the language 'marketing babble'. )
[Edit: I don't know exactly what is going on, but now this function works fine with the dialog turned off. ? I am leaving this up, however, as there may be something else going on, and bug reports can be useful. I didn't do anything different, other than turning these dialogs off in the nzbdonkey settings, and I closed the settings page in firefox for nzbdonkey. Perhaps closing the page made a difference? I don't know...]
[ Second Edit: Your extension is MUCH FASTER than nzbunity, and this was what I was after. The only potential change I could see being useful would be to put in a setting so the extension only informs you of a failure, but this is really not much of an issue. The red colour you use on the failure is attention grabbing enough, and I can ignore the other status messages quite easily, and, fortunately, the program doesn't sit there making me wait before I click on the next title. I can click on as many titles as fast as I want, and the extension handles all of this flawlessly. nzbunity used to slow down the loading of my web pages, and I would have to wait for the extension to finish processing the web page so I could click on links, and your extension doesn't have any of this kind of impact on performance or loading of web pages, so really, nzbdonkey does exactly what I need it to do, with alacrity, and without slowing down the browsing of nzb sites. nzbdonkey is really the Cat's Meow, and gets my stamp of approval of being truly "Awesome Sauce"! ]
In any case, keep up the fine work. You are doing a great job. Thanks ever so much!!!Developer response
posted a day agoThank you very much for your kind feedback.
I’m also pleased to hear that NZB Donkey is now working for you. The issue you reported is the first of its kind, and I haven’t received any similar reports so far. The change to the setting takes effect immediately, and it shouldn’t matter whether the settings page remains open or closed.
I have, however, received other reports from Firefox users regarding ‘strange’ behaviour, which was usually resolved by disabling/enabling the extension on the Firefox add-ons page, or at the latest by uninstalling and reinstalling it. I have never been able to reproduce these behaviours, so I cannot say what the cause might be.
Thanks again and best regards, Tensai - Rated 3 out of 5by CallMeSteven, 2 months agoI am testing this out on Zen browser. It works well sending nzb'd to both SABnzbd 7 NZBGet from my indexers, but when I click on the extension to search via Easynews the pop up shows for a fraction of a second then disappears! Would love to get this to work.

posted a day agoI don't know the “Zen” browser and don't use it; consequently, I haven't tested NZB Donkey on this browser. Therefore, I cannot provide support for using NZB Donkey in the “Zen” browser.
Only the latest versions of Firefox (or Chrome) are tested, and only these are officially supported.
If you can reproduce the same error in Firefox (or Chrome), please open an issue on https://github.com/Tensai75/NZBDonkey
Thanks and best regards, Tensai - Rated 5 out of 5by interrobang, 5 months agoFunktioniert wie erwartet!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Raleight Forster, 8 months agoThis is genuinely one of the best tools out there for managing NBZ files without all the usual fuss. I suspect those 1-star reviewers were expecting something completely different from what is essentially a straightforward NBZ file manager. What really stands out is that the developer is receptive to constructive criticism and actually provides support when users run into problems.
Definitely worth recommending. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19250583, 8 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13567143, a year agoDid not work anymore with 1.0, Since 1.0 the nzb file will be downloaded and not transfered to SABnzbd. Connection works fine, API Key is correct but only download of the nzb file. No debubbing possible, sorry this update failed

- Rated 4 out of 5by Alexander K, 5 years agoCurrently the only NZB Addon that I can get to reliably work with sabnzbd running behind a HTTP basic auth.
The one thing that has me worried is that it's license is listed as X11/MIT with a Github project page that has no actual sourcecode anywhere.
Guess I'll have to set up a clean browser, get the addon and check if it's sending anything home... - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16689073, 5 years ago

posted 5 years agoNZBDonkey does only add NZB files to your usenet client upon an user interaction (i.e by clicking on a NZBlnk link, choosing "Get NZB file" from the context menu, or when manually downloading an NZB file with option "intercept NZB downloads" enabled) and only one NZB file per user interaction. It is true that you might get "wrong" NZB files if the header/subject was not unique enough and the NZB search engines did not return the correct NZB file as the first hit in the search results, but if you had 10000 unwanted NZBs file sent to your usenet client you probably used NZBDonkey the wrong way. If you really think this is a problem with NZBDonkey then, please open a "issue" on the NZBDonkey github page (https://github.com/Tensai75/NZBDonkey). - Rated 5 out of 5by Sale, 6 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by JackD, 6 years agoRichtig gutes und praktisches Add-on. Funktioniert bestens, Auch über LAN sehr gut. Super Arbeit! DANKE an die Macher.
Alle die weniger als 5 Sterne gegeben haben wissen gar nicht wofür dieses Add-on gemacht wurde. Dann bleibt nur die Frage warum sie das überhaupt installiert haben...
