by reb00tz, 5 years agoIncredible extension, allowing me to set FF as my default, but sending every work-related sites to Chrome (to separate personal browsing vs. Chrome for work-only stuff)...
With the latest update, you can specify the Chrome profile to use (e.g. set the entry to "Profile 1" if the actual Chrome window's command line is '--profile-directory="Profile 1"')... Just remember to update to the newest/latest native application!

- Rated 4 out of 5by mmmmmmm, a month agoIt's not obvious but to configure the extension, you need to click the "Extensions" menu (jigsaw puzzle piece) on your toolbar, and click the OnChrome icon within there to set up the URL patterns.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Sheamus Vlado, 8 months agoPerfect - like the author, I want to use Google Meet in Chrome but Firefox for everything else, and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
I couldn't use brew to install the native extra application, but I installed in manually and everything worked fine.
It's wonderful when people solve their own technical problems and then release the solutions for others to benefit from, thanks very much to Gervasio. - Rated 4 out of 5by Psythik, a year agoI'm sure it works fine but I'm using Ungoogled Chromium and it didn't recognize it. (Yes I installed the additional required program.) I wish it was compatible with ALL Chromium-based browsers, and not just Chrome. For privacy reasons I don't want Chrome on my PC. That's the whole reason why I use Firefox to begin with.
- Rated 5 out of 5by BurcakA, 2 years agoWorks much better for me when compared to the alternatives. Anything and everything in the extension list is piped to chrome. This includes pages opened via bookmarks, the nav bar, etc. and is NOT limited to just link clicking. Now...How about a version for Edge? :) Thanks for the great work.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Fi1X, 2 years agoExcellent! This is how an Addon should be - works like a charm, good documentation and all open source. Thank you! Solves my everyday issue when opening MS sharepoint links.

- Rated 5 out of 5by AMyers, 2 years agoReally happy with this - use it to force google meets to open in Chrome, and can then happily set my default browser to Firefox for everything else. Just want to say thank you to the author!

posted 3 years agoah, that's great feedback... I just realize I only linked to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Match_patterns on the extension, I should link to my site with clear examples. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15252296, 5 years agoIt works nicely but the setup directions are the shittiest and all over the place.
- Ignore the .zip/.tar on the github link, it's useless.
- After installing the extension you have to find your way to the onchro.me/native-applications site to download the .dmg/.exe and run it.
- Then a little icon appears on your navbar where you can set URL patterns. See the screenshot to the right for an example.Developer response
