EDIT: I stand corrected. You need to enable the permission which allows the extension to run in private windows. Makes sense.Developer response
posted 5 years agoIt still works for me. When installing the extension did you check the "Allow this extension to run in Private Windows" option? The extension needs that permission, since it opens private windows. Look in about:addons > "Open Page in Private Window" extension's "Manage" options and confirm that the "Run in Private Windows" option set to "Allowed". - Rated 2 out of 5by Andre Bell, 5 years agoThe context menu to open in private window is available but nothing happens. No error msgs. No new windows. Nothing. May be a conflict with other add-ons. Will update once I figure out which if any is conflicting :(

posted 5 years agoDoes the "Open Page in Private Window" toolbar button work on the page the context menu item fails to open? Is "Run in Private Windows" set to "Allowed" in about:addons > "Open Page in Private Window" extension's "Manage" options? - Rated 5 out of 5by Felininho, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Rykum, 7 years agoWorking as expected. can I ask if it's possible to open links through mouse click (using a key combination + mouse click for example) in private window?
Developer response
posted 7 years agoYou can open a link in a private window by right-clicking on a link and selecting "Open Page in New Private Window" in the mouse menu. This feature is built into Firefox. This is not as convenient as a key combination + left mouse click, but it's already built into Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Cyberdrake, 7 years agoDoes exactly what it says it does. Hopefully they add support for opening a private tab.
