This add-on is clearly not open source, as an add-on ought to be, except for the short JS installer.
#2: The super succint "documentation" should elaborate on how it does it and give a working link, such as : http://portecle.sourceforge.net/webstart/portecle.jnlp
By the way: Linux users don't need such an add-on, since with "iced-Tea" the above link will just open fine anyhow.
#3: every user should audit the payload using https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/crxviewer/ prior to usage. Better be safe than sorry.
#4: The EXE payload looks kinda clean (the HW32 packer detect seems to be a false positive) : https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/3b47dad4718b74b47dfb71ad81bdcfa41363c0c8d58dd05246d3aca1ae002cca/detection
