the main instance invidio.us will close in September : https://omar.yt/posts/stepping-away-from-open-source
Is this addon still maintained ? Will you provide a way to choose from a list of invidious instances like asked here (more than a year ago) : https://gitlab.com/Cha_deL/peertubeify/-/issues/13
Why is it important for me to have this feature ?
I don't really send invidious links to people, either i assume they know invidious (invidition) and use them, or they don't know all this and they don't care. Since invidious is dependant of youtube and its updates, one invidious instance can quickly become broken (partly or totally) without changing anything. In this case, you can swap instances easily with invidition, but from a lambda person pov, your link just doesn't work.
So if i want to send a reliable link to a video, i can send the youtube link, or the peertube link.
In the first case, the requirement is that they know/use inviditi(on/ous). Peertube just bypass all this hassle, but since the instance i use the most is not invidio.us, if i want to do that, i need to search manually on peertube.
I hope this feature will be implemented soon. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14379205, 5 years agoThis is a nice Add-on and I would like to take more usage of it but "unfortunately" I am using "Invidition"(for obvious reason) to redirect all YT videos to a invidio.us instance of my choice.
So it would be really helpful if the add-on would show me PeerTube instances even if I am surfing on invidio.us edit it does but I am not sure how much instances of PeerTube it is searching.
Also the Notification is not in Dark mode like it is on the screenshot of this Add-on - Rated 5 out of 5by Jimi, 5 years ago

I prefer to not use it though, because maybe watching the video on youtube make google give some money to the author. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14643665, 5 years ago

Réponse: on peut aussi le faire automatiquement en modifiant un cookie. On doit pas être tellement à le faire donc forcément ça casse certaines choses.Developer response
posted 6 years agoJe n’avais jamais entendu parler de ça. Si je comprends bien, on peut passer à une version plus ancienne de YouTube en ajoutant le paramètre disable_polymer=true dans l’URL.
Je note ça, merci du retour !
Edit: la fonctionnalité de redirection automatique devrait fonctionner pour tout le monde :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Bb, 6 years agoedit: Thank you for including my request =)
Thanks! Is it possible to add an option to redirect automatically to Peertube (purist mode) ?
