- Rated 5 out of 5by Neil, 3 years agoI couldn't live without this extension now! I always open new tabs because I'm generally working on something and moving back and forth. Things can grind to a halt real quick. This way my 10 most recent tabs stay alive and the old ones just disappear. It's perfect. The only thing that bothers me is the icon - are you angry with your son?! It bothers me a bit. But the extension is brilliant.

posted a year agoNo, I'm not angry; the icon is meant to represent his chagrin at being thwarted :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Jerico, 3 years agoVery useful extension! Thanks.
On Linux Manjaro, where the sounds (Gong, Buzzer, etc.) are stored? I searched in my FF profile, but I can't find them.
Unfortunately, I can't hear the sound alerts when a tab is closed (but I can hear them when I select them from the Limit Tabs' "Preferences page" on FF Add-ons Manager.
Linux Manjaro KDE. - Rated 5 out of 5by Axel Trinidade, 4 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by RogerB, 4 years agoLooking forward to trying this more. Just barely installed it and checked out and adjusted the Options(thanks) and it seems awesome so far! Thank you for doing this!! P.S. is there a site where i can look at the code for this extension and get notified of changes/commits?
Developer response
posted 4 years agoThe code is maintained locally. However, one can download active code from Firefox's add-on repository -- there are techniques posted online. - Rated 5 out of 5by Novakof, 4 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16143272, 4 years agoAwesome except.... for the annoying sound when trying to open an extra tab! You really should make it customizable so I can pick a gentler sound. Otherwise it's great - thank you for sharing it.
Developer response
posted 4 years agoThe "gong" can be disabled within preferences. All the same, I will look into making it customizable or, at the very least, provide multiple sound options. Update: You can now choose from the following: gong, buzzer, doorbell, beep, or just disable sound. - Rated 5 out of 5by Bflat, 4 years agoHello! I suggested implemmenting one tab limit some time ago, but I realized how unpractical that is. I had another idea though: scheduling the tab limit to certain times of the day, so you can for example only limit your tabs during work hours. Also maybe there could be an option to, during the time scheduled, disable the possibility to toggle the extension through the icon. Just throwing in some ideas, don't even know if it's doable or simple to do, but the extension is already excelent as it is, thank you!

posted 4 years agoThanks for your review. However, it's not clear to me why one would want a minimum of 1 (it is easy to do, though). Can you explain (rudolf.fernandes@gmail.com)? Thanks. - Rated 5 out of 5by shino1, 4 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by oxidetor56, 4 years agoThis is an excellent plugin for anyone who struggles to self-regulate their browsing. One request to make this extension even better - Is there a way to count pinned tabs towards the total number of open tabs?
Developer response
posted 4 years agoSorry for this delayed response. Technically, it's not very difficult to address your request. However, doesn't it go against the basic principle of pinned tabs? Maybe I don't fully understand your use case. Do get in touch directly with me (rudolf.fernandes@gmail.com) if you'd like to discuss this further. - Rated 5 out of 5by Sajith, 4 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by NintendoFan204, 4 years agoAwesome add-on! Thank you for making this. I have a bad habit of opening an absurd amount of tabs, so this will help keep me in check.

- Rated 5 out of 5by NextGenThemes, 5 years ago"least recently used" option does no work for me. It always switches back to "newest". Firefox 76.0.1 (64-Bit) OpenSuse
- Rated 5 out of 5by prowala, 5 years agoGreat extension! RudyF, is there anyway you can make a button that goes on my toolbar so I can easily toggle the extension on and off? I like monotabbing and monotasking, but sometimes I have to open up multiple tabs. It'd be great if I could toggle it off really quick. This extension is really excellent, kudos
Dev made my suggestion, awesome! - Rated 5 out of 5by Korhan, 5 years agoI find this addon pretty useful as I can get distracted while working quite easily. After installing this addon I've noticed when I've reached the limit (bumped it to 12), I always find myself doing something else other than work. Thank you.
Just for a note, I've turned off the voice. I would have prefered a text warning.
Huge thanks both to your son and you. - Rated 5 out of 5by kylewjm, 5 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by mbnoimi, 5 years agoVery useful addon but it missing a vital feature which is "Warning message when tabs number exceeded"
- Rated 1 out of 5by Jessyont, 5 years agoI hate to leave a negative review, but your addon closed all my 300+ tabs after I tried to open just one more tab. Instead of just not opening the tab or/and showing a message.
You even replied to a previous user with the same problem that this issue is fixed. No, option in the settings to change haw the addon is functioning either.
Now I had to waste time recovering my tabs after removing your extension from my browser.Developer response
posted 5 years agoIn version 1.4.1 onward, on installation, the tab limit will be set to the number of tabs open at the time.
