- Rated 5 out of 5by hass, 5 years agoExcellent addon, great compatibility with files saved from legacy scrapbook.
Suggestion:
1. options to choose which file types to be saved
2. scrapbee does not save scripts and applet. Can you make this possible?
BTW, this addon encouraged me to move from ESR to quantum. Thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15701690, 5 years agoAfter years of wandering, I finally managed to open my Scrapbook X files.
Other extensions have tried, ScrapBee has done it.
Thank you for this great extension ! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15149624, 5 years agoThank you for your work, I can finally use my old scrapbook files and go on with saving webpages. Great addon, works flawlessly.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Kvaksy, 5 years agoWondeful job. At last I can use my scrapped pages in damned Quantum. Asking the author - can I change the font of scrapped data to another (I want narrow font). In options I can change size but not a font itself....
PS: Yep, to change the font of treeview! Narrow font will allow to put more text without making the sidebar too wide.Developer response
posted 5 years agoHi, do you mean to change font of treeview in sidebar?
Update: added in verseion 1.10.5, you can set it by input name of font you favorite now. - Rated 5 out of 5by own, 5 years agoHi Victor, great extension. All my old Scrapbook documents are here. Bravo!!
However, could it be possible to install Scrapbee everywhere else but not in the default Download folder ? Thanks and happy new year.
[edit] thanks for your answer. Done.Developer response
posted 5 years agoHi, I just want to keep it very easy for users, you can move executable in this way:
Linux
Modify path to backend executable in
${HOME}/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts/scrapbee_backend.json
Mac
Modify path to backend executable in
${HOME}/Library/Application Support/Mozilla/NativeMessagingHosts/scrapbee_backend.json
Windows
Modify registry entries' value to be new path if you moved scrapbee_backend.json
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\NativeMessagingHosts\scrapbee_backend
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\NativeMessagingHosts\scrapbee_backend
Modify path to backend executable field in that scrapbee_backend.json

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15444767, 5 years agoThank you so much for the addon ScrapBee :) I can now access my complete Scrapbook library again. Please do not stop with the development of this addon that the ScrapBee is still flying for a long time ;)
- Rated 5 out of 5by ethos, 5 years ago

posted 5 years ago你好, 谢谢你的建议, 但是不建议这样做吧, 想像一下, 如果每加载一个页面, 都要检查其中的所有链接, 尤其有多个rdf的时候, 至少性能上可能有潜在的很大影响 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14640354, 5 years agoGreat extension, but could you add the ability to save all open tabs? doing it one by one for 200 pages is tiring
- Rated 5 out of 5by flyinabottle, 5 years agoCould you update scrapbee_backend to 64bit? It cannot work on new version macOS catalina now. Thanks a lot!
NOW it works again! Thanks again.Developer response
posted 5 years agoPlease try 1.9.5 and re-install backend to see if it works for you. - Rated 5 out of 5by bulrush, 5 years agoOk, this does work but once you install the add-on you have to install a back end, by following the install guide in the Scrapbee help. Follow instructions carefully. This is not an addon that installs with one click.
To save pages, right click on the web page, choose Scrapbee menu, choose capture Page. Also the Scrapbee option "Capture URL" does not save the page locally, it only saves a bookmark to the URL in the Scrapbee window. If you want to save a page locally use "Capture Page".
After you do a "Capture page" to a local file a window will pop up showing each element that was saved. Click the "Done" button to close that popup window.
To verify you have saved the page locally, make sure the Scrapbee sidebar is open, click once on the page name in Scrapbee. Look in the browser URL bar. The URL should start with "localhost:" if the page is saved locally.
Also if you look where your setup our RDF file location in Scrapbee settings, under the "data" folder you will see more folders with a long number. These folder names begin with the date in YYYYMMDD format and the rest is likely some type of time stamp. - Rated 5 out of 5by momimo, 5 years ago

Search is smooth, and It has comment to make search easier.
Hope can search for id as well, because it's unique. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15211043, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by R25097, 6 years agoFinally a Scrapbook alternative for Firefox Quantum, and it works well too !
Thank you so much for your efforts. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15012515, 6 years agoThanks again for this cool and useful add-on!
Now the settings are also preserved when the cookies and history are deleted.
The developer responds very quickly to problems and wishes. The add-on is constantly being improved. - Rated 5 out of 5by olliebean, 6 years agoThis is great, the first scrapbook-style addon I've seen that reproduces the functionality of the original to delete parts and add highlights to saved pages, and with the fully editable sidebar index, and being able to use my existing Scrapbook data is brilliant. I just have a couple of suggestions:
1) Right-clicking on an entry in the sidebar, to delete or rename a saved page, also opens a new copy of that page. Ideally a right-click should just open the popup menu, and not load the page.
2) As well as ctrl-clicking to open a saved page in a new tab, it would be great if middle-clicking also be made to do this, as with middle-clicking links in the browser. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14972590, 6 years agoThank you very much for this add-on! Finally a worthy AND working successor for Scrapbook. And I even can use my old scrapbook 1:1 again. :-)
- Rated 5 out of 5by kerenoc, 6 years agoGreat extension for users that had to use old versions of Firefox just to keep using Scrapbook. Thanks!
