by Solemn, 4 years agoWARNING: If you use large numbers of tabs this add-on will frequently destroy the organisational structure of the tabs you have sorted into different panels when closing and reopening a browser session, requiring you to potentially reorganise large numbers of tabs or close the affected browser windows and attempt to load a saved snapshot of them, wasting a lot of your time.
As other reviewers have already mentioned, this problem doesn't appear to be an issue if you only use small numbers of tabs.
I tried this add-on after being a long time 'Tree Tabs' user (which handles large numbers of tabs reliably) and was hoping Sidebery would be a potential replacement with more QoL features.
Unfortunately Sidebery's inability to reliably save and restore browser session tab structures with large numbers of tabs means I would not recommend this to anyone who browses with large numbers of tabs.
Hopefully this issue can be fixed as Sidebery has a lot of good things going in its favour (e.g. clean UI, snapshot save system, panel sorting, containers) however until this critical issue is fixed the user experience is frustrating and wastes their time.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Marsellus, 5 days agoI have tried several similar Add-Ons, so I can assure you're grabbing the right stuff here.
The Add-Ons offers you a very good amount of thoroughly well-thought-of settings and features, highly customizable. I love that, there's no software with too much options for me.
Don't panic, you don't have to do anything before using this Add-On because it's - out of the box - GOOD
(and beautiful too)
I'm actually writing this review because I waive using it for a while to test out Mozillas first take of vertikal tabs. I find it way too simple. Like overly-simple, rather even unfinished. I'm so glad I can go back to Sidebery again so that I don't mind formulating a beautiful review for you in the middle of the night.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Norm N., a month agoI tend to keep a lot of tabs open, and have not gotten into containers or groups etc. This Add-on really helps me see all open tabs, the relationship between then, and easily move through them.

- Rated 5 out of 5by adamhybel, 2 months agoSidebery isn't just a vertical tab extension; it's a comprehensive tab and workspace manager that fundamentally improves how you interact with your browser.
- Tame Tab Chaos: Replaces the cluttered horizontal tab bar with a clean, efficient vertical layout. Easily view, navigate, and manage even a large number of tabs.
- Powerful Organization: Features like tab nesting, grouping, and customizable Panels (workspaces) allow you to structure your browsing sessions logically by context (e.g., work, personal, research).
- Boost Productivity: Effortlessly switch between different tasks and sets of tabs using Panels. Finding the tab you need becomes significantly faster.
- Highly Customizable: While powerful out of the box, Sidebery offers deep customization options for appearance, behavior, and shortcuts to perfectly suit your workflow.
- Trustworthy & Open Source: Like the best browser tools, Sidebery is free, open-source, and actively maintained by its developer(s).
That's it! If you juggle multiple tabs or projects, Sidebery is a game-changer for bringing order and efficiency to your browsing. It’s an indispensable tool for power users and anyone looking to improve their workflow. Huge thanks to the developer(s) for creating and maintaining this excellent extension. Highly recommended for all Firefox users! - Rated 5 out of 5by patjgll, 2 months agoExcellent outil.
