by Slapchop83, 6 years agoIt's really too bad about all these themes. They're all masterfully colored but then when you open the drop menus for the Firefox interface it comes up shiny white. Ugh... when you're so close to pitching a perfect game but you trip over your own feet last inning and the other team gets a base hit.
The analogy is referring to how all 5 of these themes are perfectly done until you pull up the bright white drop menus and the sidebars. If you don't look at the stuff that stands out like a sore thumb it actually looks really sick. Nice work... would be huge if you chose to make the drop menus match the theme's color coordination. And maybe pump out a black and red... and a black and violet. Thanks for the nice work!!

posted 5 years agoThanks for enjoying the Themes.
I used Firefox's built in tools to create them, sadly using just those tools you cannot edit the drop down menus or menu colors, only the theme at face value.
I'll create a few more colors soon, however Red was one I originally created but it seems it still isn't doable.
For some reason Folder and Menu Text gets an artifact effect that basically shows a shadow letter with red on the front and white on the back. Search bar and text looks wonderful but the others ruin the theme.
Edit - It seems all darker colors for text in those areas does what I mentioned above.
The Black, Green and Red theme I made shows the limits of what can be done with color placement, the Red section is the section that can be made darker colors and work, the green section is what does the shadow letters.
