posted 5 years agoThanks for the review. In SingleFile, tags are called "variables". They allow you to customize the name of the file with dynamic values (e.g. the save date, the title). You can customize the name via the setting "File name > template" in the options page. See the chapter "Template variables" in the help page (via the link at the bottom left in the options page) for more info about the list of variables you can use. Note that you can also save pages into sub folders of your download folder by using "/" in the template to define sub-folders.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18730145, a month agoEasily my most-used extension. I always like to save online data locally in case it succumbs to "link rot", and I used to archive things as PDFs...clunky, storage-hungry, filled with formatting issues. SingleFile is my new replacement for that. I LOVE it!

I was trying to save a very long page that would take like 30 years to scroll through. I wanted to take a screenshot of it. I used Firefox's default screenshot system but it didn't work. I tried FireShot and the stupid corporate addon asked me to pay to take a flipping screenshot. Ctrl+S? Failed as well. So I installed this add-on, and IT LITERALLY SAVED THE WHOLE THING. ALL 12 MEGABYTES. This thing is INSANE, I'm definitely keeping this! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12552364, 2 months ago
