Snap Links Plus by Clint Priest

by Tux, 8 years agoWith the update to firefox 53, snap links v2 stopped working on me. I installed Snap links plus. For some reason the initial explanation panel does not appear if you are not making a clean install (without snap links 2) so I thought for a long time that it simply didn't work.
After checking the comments here I found the config page ( http://cpriest.github.io/SnapLinksPlus/welcome.html ) and learned how to use the "lasso". It's better than nothing, but less effective than selecting different cells on a table -> right click -> Open on X tabs that you could use with the previous version.
When you right click to use the lasso, the contextual menu opens at the same time, which makes the usage less than ideal, then it opens the tabs automatically. Not bad per se, but for me it's a step back from what we had previously.

I would like to be able to Ctrl+right click and other editing operations. - Rated 5 out of 5by JBro, 15 days agoThis handy tool has changed the way I browse the net. Everything is so multi-tasking now, and this just makes it so much simpler. Works flawlessly.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Tyrone, 2 months agoThe only reason why I rate this 4 and not 5 is because of my ADHD, I keep forgetting it exists, so if you could allow this addon to be pinned to the toolbar, it would significantly help. Thank you!

- Rated 4 out of 5by turkbro, 7 months agowould be great if it had different shortcut options for copying links or opening links in new tabs. that "ctrl after selection" option is not working.

- Rated 5 out of 5by sker, 8 months agoAfter firefox update certain websites such as Youtube would now scroll down when right-clicking. Removing extension solves problem, re-adding extension brings it back.
p.s. found a workaround - extension works fine with 120% page scale (and some others, but not any. try different and find what works for you) - Rated 5 out of 5by David_R, 8 months agoThe best link manager around.
However, in May 2024, a problem started to occur, where copying links down a long page, would begin to auto-scroll very fast; since SnapLinks hasn't had a recent update, I'm guessing this is caused by a recent Firefox update.
Therefore, if you have this happen, don't blame SnapLinks. Just hope the author notices this & works out a fix. I'd rather not go to a new extension, but this behaviour is very annoying. Still, 5 stars for what it actually does! - Rated 5 out of 5by Armand, 8 months ago
