- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12403898, 5 years agoIt doesn't work with a bunch of websites where I listen to music and where I can't get the song name. It works with youtube, though, where all you need to do is read the track name. Pretty useless add-on.
- Rated 1 out of 5by 170fin, 5 years agoAbsolutely fantastically succinct App - A must - Identifies songs & offers links to in <5secs!
One click - no waiting for it - cannot praise it enough.
A link to Spotify would be a welcome addition if possible.
I was so impressed, I checked out LOSNAPPAS other APPS & my browsing experience is the better for it, my thanks to you if you happen to read this.
Edit: Apr 11th'20
Awhile ago it started asking me to register to... and that I'd used my daily allowance (despite not having used it in an age) - now, well now it's stopped working altogether so it's useless!Developer response
posted 5 years agoThe "daily allowance" is not just yours. Everyone who uses this extension with the default settings shares 1 account, which has a limit on id's per day.
If you did register, you'd get around that, though. - Rated 1 out of 5by Azzazell , 5 years ago

posted 5 years agoLucky for you, I rewrote the extension, so I also checked out the bug on coub and fixed it. It doesn't work perfectly there, so either that site is a hack, or it's Firefox causing it. Developer response

posted 6 years agoIf I understood correctly, then you got error 171 and 140? I have no idea what those ones mean, unfortunately. ACRCloud doesn't list those error codes at all, I can only assume they have something to do with the default account being pretty close to its limits again.
You could try making your own account and try again.
Thx for the feedback. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14989664, 6 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by mattleahy22, 6 years agoWell, thusfar I'm better than this extension---far better---at identifying music. It couldn't guess Eric Carmen's All by Myself on an open and playing YouTube tab. Does it only identify stuff that's on Amazon, by any chance? (addendum 6/1/2019: I apparently am not allowed to respond to the Developer. I posed the "Amazon" query because what the extension could not ID was a "live" version---Midnight Special---and thus had *slight* variations from the studio (and Amazon available) version. But to be efficacious, this extension would need to field that easy grounder.)(Thank you.)

posted 6 years agoI tested on that song (Eric Carmen's All by Myself) and it got it on first try, first 5 seconds.
By "open" tab, you mean "active" (as in, the one you're viewing) tab, correct? And you're then clicking the button and see the black bar on top of youtube, right?
Did you get "No result - 1001", or something else?
The server this addon uses by default is in Europe. I'm thinking, that if you're far away from EU, then there will be quite a bit of ping. That could possibly mess things up, though I'm not sure how.
If you are up for some testing, then please make your own account on acrcloud.com and try it with that. There's more info on that on the preferences page. It's free.
Thanks for the review.
EDIT 6/2: Thanks for your clarifications. The problem is, as you described, that it was a live version and had alterations.
If you were to create your own ACRCloud account and used the "recorded audio" checkbox, you might have better results with live performances. Though, I'm not sure if that will degrade results for studio stuff. Find further info in the add-on's preferences page, if you're interested. Developer response
posted 6 years agoIf you want help then I'm gonna need a bit more details, like "which website I tried it on" and "my Firefox version is..". And "what went wrong" would be a nice addition too.
I've written down few steps for a trial run on the addon description, if you would try that.- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14580943, 6 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14047163, 7 years agoYeah, works for about 40 succeeded song recognitions BUT after that, you need to upgrade your account, which basically means that you need to buy the fucking extention. Why not just use ads? I'm not gonna pay for something like this. I can use shazam on my phone just fine.

posted 7 years agoYeah, I made this so people could find that one odd song out there - every once in a while. Not really every song in their library. You can make your own account at acrcloud.com and get 100 free ID's every day, just for yourself. Check out the preferences page.
I'mma contact acrcloud (when I have time) and see if there's something they can do here, but I really suggest you make your own accounts if you have a big backlog of things to ID. Or use shazam like you suggested yourself.
There's actually no way of "buying" this addon, it's just the message the server gives off. I'll change that sometime.
Sorry for the misguided hopes, and thanks for letting me know this happened.
