- Rated 1 out of 5by Robbit, 7 years agoSehr schade.
----
Extremely annoying: the custom CSS is applied only when a page is completely loaded. That leads to even more jiggling of the content. Horrible!Developer response

Stylish Support- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13462234, 7 years agoYour update to 3.0 was the biggest mistake you ever made! Back to 2.0.7! Immediately!!!!!!! Never change a running system!
The new System is intransparent, complex and unusable. NONE of the simplest styles work on the new version: NONE! Even a simple background: black !important; on the body of the about:newtab page! FIX THIS SHIT or Back to the old version! The firefox update forced me to update this addon to 3.0 and NOTHING works anymore! -.- I HATE IT!
As example: i imported the following script with the firefox import button inside your script create gui ...
@-moz-document url("about:newtab")
{
:root, body, #newtab-scrollbox, #newtab-margin-bottom {
background: #000 !important;
}
}
and it WONT WORK!
not funny at all!!!!!!!
BACK TO THE OLD STYLE OR FIX (THIS BULLSH)IT! <_<Developer response

Stylish Support - Rated 1 out of 5by H0sv1R, 7 years agoThis addon was working fine.. But no! Lets improve it, by making it unusable.. After recent update i've noticed that some sites appears broken CSS. I checked HTML on those sites, I thought maybe they changed something. But no, everything was fine. The addon is broken. Now i have twice as much the CSS whitch i`ve created or dowloaded. Why they doubled, who knows.. After I deleted all doubled CSS, problem with broken sites still exist. But now,it`s 50/50.. half of the time I visit sites they works fine, and half of the time they don`t.. Is there any posibility of me to go back to previos version of addon?

Stylish Support - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13455089, 7 years agoNew version is terrible on android. Deletes all styles, about:reader styles don't work. Downgraded to ff56 and stylish 2.0.7 (to avoid stylish spying on data as others have mentioned), in about:config search extensions and toggle auto update to false. In googleplay go to firefox click the ... in the top right and disable auto-update. Install ff beta to use ff57.

Stylish Support - Rated 1 out of 5by Hyōkkuda Ryōsan, 7 years agoStylish add-on version 2.1.1 for Firefox 56.0.2 and below used to be amazing. I used it for so long due to its simplicity to modify pretty much any websites and even the Firefox browser itself. But the version past that is the complete opposite of what it was before. It look exactly like the ugly, bright and confusing version on Google Chrome browser.
I never liked writing codes on Chrome because of the way the text field area is all displayed. Plus, it's literally forcing me on a new tab and the way it was displaying my installed/active/inactive styles was also pretty awful and annoying. Literally unfriendly to use. When I was writing a code on Firefox, everything was in the same floating window until a few version later where it was forcing me on a new tab. Luckily, thanks to the extensive customization on Firefox, it was possible to fix that by typing about:config in the address bar then searching for extensions.stylish.editorWindowMode and set the value to 1 to have it back as a window.
Previously, I could press the preview button and see my changes behind the floating window instantly being applied to the website or page to know if I like them or not. But in this version, since it's just like on Chrome, changes aren't applied instantly. You constantly have to refresh the page to see your changes which is very annoying, unhelpful and very unfriendly.
Since this new update, I literally lost over 15 styles I was working on in the past months and I had no backup of these styles on my hard drive or things like that. I looked at the "About this version" and other tabs where I could see some of my styles already installed, but the most important, or those that were not uploaded to the website yet were no where to be found.
When I reverted back to Firefox 56.0.2 due to tons of extensions missing or incompatible, I had to go through a lot of trouble just to disable Firefox automatic updates because it kept forcing the update Firefox 57 on me every time I restarted/launched Firefox again. There was no old versions compatible for Stylish add-ons, so that's also why I had to revert back on Firefox as well. In the end, thanks to the Firefox sync feature, all the styles I previously lost to this new update were back in my list.

Stylish Support- Rated 1 out of 5by cirrus, 7 years agoThis goes some way to explaining why stylish dont work as it once did http://www.morbo.org/2017/11/linux-sandboxing-improvements-in.html?m=1 . Im sure adding relevant directory in *security.sandbox.content.write_path_whitelist* should suffice to have stylish access to relevant database, unfortunatly i dont know which directory it resides in :/ personaly i have ditched stylish in favour of stylus.

Stylish Support - Rated 1 out of 5by bobi32, 7 years agoJust discovered the last 13-months events of Stylish, so saddening to see a once-great add-on made unusable by an astonishing amount of insanely stupid decisions (de facto closed source, spying features all over the place, feature regression, and no clear communication on any of these points whatsoever) from the new “owner” (how can this notion even stand for an GNU-licensed project anyway?)
I see here and there advices to go back to 2.1.1. Actually you really shouldn’t, considering how much the 2017 despicable flavor of stylish wants to spy on you: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/01/04/major-stylish-add-on-changes-in-regards-to-privacy/
Stick to 2.0.7 instead (and to FF ESR, therefore), last version before this suicidal overhaul…Developer response

Stylish Support - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13438906, 7 years agoUpdate sucks! All custome styles are gone and no hint or help how to get them back working.
stylish once was a great tool for having a quick overview on different servers containing the same web-app.
Now this is gone. Thanks to fu***** Mozilla updates and constantly "improving" of the Firefox.
So now it's time to say ggodby and switch to chrome and using hopefully better addons there.Developer response
