- Rated 4 out of 5by Dogu, 4 years agoI'm new to SurfShark. I've used PureVPN and PIA before. So far with SurfShark, I'm more than impressed. It's fast and reliable, especially on Android. I'd have loved to see more features on this Firefox extension, like the ability to automatically connect on app start (ie starting Firefox) and maybe actually telling me which protocol is being used. Security and encryption is a must for me, and the 256-bit encryption is only available with IKEv2 if I'm not mistaken (according to the Android app), I hope it's the same for this extension as well. Can't wait for future updates to address these issues. I'd be more than happy to revise my rating if these can be improved

posted 4 years agoHey! Unfortunately, our secure VPN service indeed requires you to purchase a subscription. In order to provide a secure and reliable VPN service, we have to invest a lot of resources into the VPN infrastructure, therefore, a free VPN solution is not available, at least at the moment. Thank you for understanding.- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16391031, 4 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14005951, 4 years agoIt is maddening that, not only does this extension automatically log one in to Surfshark, but that if I am incautious enough to put my email in then go to my saved passwords (I have an automatically generated one - there's no way I'm memorising and typing that in every time) the extension will blank the ID field and I have to start again.

When opened, it doesn't show anything, just blank. If on Overflow Menu, there's the standard sized pop-out menu for Overflow but outside of Overflow it doesn't even show any pop-out menu. Tested on Firefox 89 on Fedora and Firefox Dev 90 on Manjaro.
Edit: seems to be a conflict with the extension Chameleon - fixed now, thanks!Developer response
