by Firefox user 17018175, 3 years agoI just tested the new pdf translation feature. It's a great effort but not super convenient yet. For a while I have been using this command on linux to convert to html with better results (keeps figures in place and ignores adobe DRM crap): > pdftohtml -enc UTF-8 -nodrm -noframes -dataurls -c myfile.pdf
Since the pdf needs to be downloaded anyway and re-uploaded for conversion, wouldn't it be cleaner to do the html conversion locally like this? The TWP add-on then works flawlessly on the local html file. All I am missing is a button in the browser to save me from opening the terminal.
This is the most important add-on in my life right now. A total game changer for Firefox and would deserve to be featured and supported by Mozilla!
