- Rated 1 out of 5by Quinnie, 2 years agoNght mode does not work, even after following the video tutorial - after choosing the "Options" menu, you get stuck in a never-ending loop wher it will keep saying you have not got the extension installed (even if you do). This has become a waste of a whole hour, which could have been a simple install.
EDiT to the developer: This is the same response you send all your users. This is not a support message, it is my review of your addon that does not work as it should. I have in any case uninstalled it and will not support you until these errors and problems are retified in future. I love your idea of this addon, but there is a lot that can be improved on instead of using the same old generic messages you send as a reply.
I managed after yet another struggle and lots of time i will never get back, to get the night mode to work (users shouldn't be struggling for hours to get 1 addon to work correctly). Yet another thing I found annoying is that for each and every website you wan to be on night/dark mode, you have to choose that mode each and every time. Nowehere is there an option for ALL websites to act this way. There are other addons that work properly in this regard.
Thank you.Developer response

Do you use any other browser extensions in the background? Try to disable that one by one except Turn Off the Lights. That will solve this problem.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Rzrz, 2 years agoI'm just using this to block 60fps videos, works flawlessly. Unfortunately youtube doesn't provide 1080p 30fps videos so you have to settle with 720p
Edit: for some reason the block 60fps feature doesn't work anymore - Rated 3 out of 5by GEF, 2 years ago

There is a Turn Off the Lights Options page, you can open it in many ways.
Solution A:
1. If you are on a web page, click 2X on the gray lamp button. You will see the mini panel show up.
2. On the bottom of this panel you see the button "Options". Click on this button will open the Turn Off the Lights Options page.
See this YouTube video tutorial:

Solution B:
1. Open the Firefox web browser and go to this URL:
about:addons
2. You will see all the installed Firefox extensions, and that include Turn Off the Lights. Now click on the horizontal 3 dot icon.
3. A menu shows up, and click on the menu item "Preferences". That will open the Turn Off the Lights Options page.

posted 2 years agoHi Archy The Arcanine,
Thank you for your review and 4 stars.
All Firefox extensions do not work on the Firefox add-on gallery. That is a limit set by the Firefox web browser itself. That is also on other web browser platforms such as Google Chrome, the Chrome extensions can not customize the local page and the Chrome Web Store.
Please let me know how to get it to 5 stars.
