https://github.com/kazuhikoarase/qrcode-generator/commits/master/js/qrcode.js
The latest stable release is available here
https://github.com/kazuhikoarase/qrcode-generator/releases/latest
Can you update with it?
Also, is it possible to expert as PNG?
Edit: Press Alt+Q doesn't show up popup anymore, both Chrome and Firefox affected, can you fix that?Developer response
posted 6 years agoHello!
SVG (and HTML) is created by my addon, not this library.
Old version was lightweight and slightly modified to support UTF-8 and carefully checked on different languages.
The new one on the first look has only one minor improvement - support UTF-8 (which old already has by my modification) and some cosmetic (absolutelly useless for this addon) changes like GIF and ASCII generators.
When i have enought time to analyze and test this new version and if it is worth it - i will update addon.
Thank you for information. - Rated 5 out of 5by Ivan Júnior, 7 years agoVery helpful addon.
The interface is a bit ugly, but works flawless...
It allows QR-code generation from URL, selection or a custom text.
After all, it is GPLv3 licensed. - Rated 5 out of 5by The Beard Below My Chin, 7 years agoGood. Lots of options. Works as it should. Keeps data private, no nefarious crap. This is the QR app that Mozilla should be promoting.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Krasnaya Ploshchad, 7 years agoGiving 5 stars to you because you created a wonderful QR code generator written in JS!
But I have a small question, would you like to bring it to OpenOffice/LibreOffice? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13624095, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by allenli, 7 years agoMust give it 5 stars because it is the best fully javascript offline qrcode generator!
Here is the source code I've found in his site:
http://protocoder.ru/site/articles/qrCodeGen/qrcode.js
which is totally the same as qrcode.js extracted from the .xpi file! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13582466, 7 years agoMust have add-on. It does what it says. Not more not less.
Saving to SVG is a must.
Keep it going! - Rated 5 out of 5by 山茶树和葡萄树, 7 years agogreat addon!
是目前最好的生成二维码的扩展,选中文字,或链接,直接点toolbar icon直接可以选择生成模式,非常强大!谢谢作者! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13430189, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Arthur, 7 years agoWorks from the toolbar button, but can't see any context menu items for selected text.

posted 7 years agoYou can simply select text and press addon's button - it takes selected text to the dialogue.
It is easiest than use of context menu. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13150060, 8 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13052258, 8 years agoI cannot find the generate or share option after installing this as first addon in my mobil firefox.
Developer response
posted 8 years agoThis addon is for desktop version of Firefox, not for mobile.
In any case you can always use button "Open as svg" and then share it by standard interface of browser. - Rated 1 out of 5by tipichris, 8 years agoLooks like it should be a great add-on, but for some reason it only works the first time you use it after restarting Firefox 53. Each subsequent time it just displays a blank image and no amount of typing in the text boxes will change that.

This addon i made by new addon's API promoted by Mozilla (to please Google, i think) - WebExtension (at begining - a Chrome extensions API). And it was made by Mozilla's guides on MDN,
On my Firefox 50 it works well, but after guys from Mozilla broke something - and now it does not work properly.
When i have enought time to understand what this brave guys did in such a way that this even broke what they themselves described in guides - i will fix it.
But at this moment my Firefox still has version 50, because at next versions they killed XUL and XPCOM :(
P.S. I fixed my addon. Now version 1.57 works fine in all late FF. Enjoy! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12992386, 8 years ago
