- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13597240, 7 years agoallucinante!!! una persona si aspetta migliorie dalle nuove versioni, invece si ritrova uno scarsissimo sostituto. tra l'altro anche installando la vecchia versione non la puoi usare perchè ritenuta obsoleta, le nuove versioni inseritele dopo attente prove anche l'interfaccia utente non è chiara.. mi dispiace ma cambierò motore di ricerca

- Rated 1 out of 5by DaDoc, 7 years agoReally sad to see the old version gone. This one is idiotic to say the least...... PITA to use.
Last version was so well done. Simple and easy to use. Can't understand why the change.
It was the best the way it was. Just needed to update if for FF v57.
Oh well now off to search for something better.Developer response

Barely supports youtube videos and only download format is webm. I use online downloaders now, at least I can get the videos in a format that is decent and not have to download other crap to make it work. Very disappointed in ANT, thought you would work harder to make a decent replacement.

Now it's very complicated, i hope your team will fix it. Some of the people here say it's a waste of time and WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? Yeah thats right, we are getting more and more used to it that something that has worked great and was a super program getting bader and bader and shittier, but i hope you will make it in the old way and it will work with Firefox 57 like it did in the past. Sometimes the past was better.

Now it opens a new page full of links to every tab you have open and most of the time the files don't work once you have them. I'm not sure why, but they decided to make their product unusable. I'm searching for a new video downloader no if anyone has suggestions.

It suggests downloading and installing a separate program to the hard drive in order to make it work.
I used this add-on for years and loved it but this new build just doesn't work for me.
There are a few video downloaders that now require an *.msi installer for it to work.with the new Firefox update but I've found a downloader which works fine with no additional program needed.
Unfortunately i might have to migrate away from this.Developer response

Native application installer contains only converter with libraries needed for support streaming videos. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13509864, 7 years agoNotice that when you try to install how it says it can completely molest your entire computer. Monitor all your traffic, get all your site data, blah blah blah.
HAHA now it wants to install a standalone program using a MS installer MSI !!!
No thanks, I'm not going to install this virus on my machine.
Okay so I finally broke down and actually installed it. It's absolutely terrible. The interface is impossible to understand and it totally unusable. Now when I click on a video or sound to DL it opens up another page filled with links of things I can DL but they're all repeats of the same thing and it's impossible to tell what you're actually DLing.
THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF "BETTER" BEING THE ENEMY OF GOOD!Developer response
posted 7 years agoPlease note that native application doesn't contain viruses and installs the converter with libraries needed for support streaming videos.
