by Firefox user 15950280, 5 years agoThis worked for me on some sites, but I noticed it was using a lot of CPU even when I wasn't downloading things (thank you, Firefox Task Manager).
Turns out it the "privacy" policy is wide open. Most companies won't sell your personally identifiable information, but exten.inc does: "We may share some or all of your personal information with our subsidiaries, joint ventures or other companies."
And it has full access to everything you do.
You should try Video Download Helper. It will download almost anything, and collects no information.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Improviz, a month agoUsed to work well. Doesn't work at all now. Can't download anything from YouTube! I use it to collect footage of weather/natural disasters and first responders from various locations. No longer recognizes video. And I PAID FOR IT. Please fix this!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Goooog le Morons, 3 months agounfortunately just sucks in discovering chunked video stream - "blob:httрs://..." without e.g. .m3u8 descriptor.
this is the only type of network stream VLC cannot handle (yet), so a browser plugin could beat it. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18659735, 3 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Securityconcerns, 6 months agoIt does NOT work, whether you press play or whatever. Mozilla should not allow apps that do not work to remain, it wastes our time.
