- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13464250, 7 years agoOne of the worst extensions so far... Video Download Helper is the best app for downloading online videos from youtube and vimeo etc. This app is a spam app forces to go to its own shoddy website and not at all user friendly. Further more requires several clicks and multiple browsing windows for a single video to be downloaded..... NOT At all recommended for download.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13432399, 7 years agoDoesn't work for most of the sites I want to download from. The ones that break the downloads into chunks.
I want Ant Video Download back! - Rated 1 out of 5by Birger52, 7 years agoDont remember wher to save files - you have to tell it every time.
There are 8 different possibities for each file - and they are presented in no particullar order, and in too small a font to be readable.
So ... useless, basically - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13457384, 7 years agoPorcaria! nunca será igual o Ant vídeo Download!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Muzzlebreak, 7 years agoAnt Video Downloader was rendered obsolete with the new version of FF. I tried this as a replacement but it is unsatisfactory. Some of the pages I need to archive videos from break the videos up into segments. Ant automatically downloaded each segment and reassembled them into a single video file. The Startpage 24 Video Downloader does none of that. It just allows me to download each segment separately which is no real help.
This is important enough to me that I'm going to try to revert back to the previous version of FF until Ant updates its plugin. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13444967, 7 years agoJust updated to Firefox Quantum and my old standby Video DownloadHelper was relegated to legacy status until a new version is available. Clicking on "Find a replacement" led me to Video Downloader Professional . Installed quickly but when I clicked on Options in the Extensions list I got "File not found: Firefox can't find the file at moz-extension://bc627172-939c-4d5c-9189-4105e6f68299/options.html ". Clicking on the homepage as listed goes to a page trying to sell 3 versions of Video Downloader Ultimate from Link64 GmbH (which is a stand-alone windows program) and there is no mention of the Firefox Add-on. Not seeing any videos most of the time enev on YouTube.
Uninstalling now! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13417526, 7 years agoDoes not work. Worked two or three times now does not.

- Rated 1 out of 5by David Spector, 7 years agoThe new version (for Firefox Quantum) doesn't work for me. It downloads a corrupted file that will not run in players. Also, when opening its Options, the following error message appears:
"File not found." The message is longer, but Firefox prohibits copying it.
During download, no progress bar is shown.
There is no way to submit a problem report.
This version seems not to have been tested!

Video Downloader version unknown - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13442834, 7 years agoN'arrive pas à la cheville de Download Helper en terme de simplicité, de personnalisation et de compatibilité avec les différentes plateformes de streaming multimédia.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13441817, 7 years agoYou have to pay to download anything (just shows ad for the ultimate version)

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13430165, 7 years agoI went to YouTube and picked a video. The arrow turned green, so I clicked on it to download the video. It said, "No videos found." Then it wanted me to get the "ultimate" version. Yeah... I don't think so. Later gators.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13428503, 7 years agoDoes not work. Probably would work if you purchased the companion software from their site to go with it, but not saying so in the add-on description is deceptive.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13415956, 7 years agoIt says you can download up to 4k while you actually need a program to be installed for 1080p + videos.. Don't tell the plugin can do something it can't
