- Rated 1 out of 5by nefertari817, 5 months agoWhile this does work, they make you download a separate application that allows you to actually download the videos and then asks you to pay 30 dollars for a "conversion license". There are other options available.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18528870, 5 months agoI have used this app and extension for quite a while now. I have a number of programs that do similar things and each one has its own benefits and nuances. However it is fair to say that Video Download Helper is my "Go To" one and the one I use first time every time - and have had very little problems and very many downloads
- Rated 3 out of 5by Mighty Onan, 5 months agoIt is no doubt my fault but I get some great downloads and others anything from 0 to partial. Would like better instruction on use and working to find that now.
- Rated 1 out of 5by FlyingRaccoon, 5 months agoThe QR Code for some video downloads turns this in one of the worst add-ons available. Either be upfront and charge for the add-on, or make it as an optional donation. This "fake request" for support is cowardly and makes me opt to not use it and not recommend it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by FaceMONKEY, 5 months agoAUGUST 2024. Video DownloadHelper works great with YouTube, nearly all the time. It will occasionally misread video names, defaulting to a series of numbers or "YouTube - YouTube." You should net see any nonsense about encrypted URLs or missing streams, as is the case with other add-ons. Video DownloadHelper also works quite well with other video sites, though it may get occasional video names incorrect and users will often have to sort through a long list of available "media" to find the download they actually want. I doubt there is any way around this, beyond sorting videos by length and size, which is not an option at this time. Video DownloadHelper does not seem to work with Facebook videos, despite advertising to the contrary. All that said, this is the very best video download add-on I've ever seen or used, because it almost always works, where most simply fail. It is well worth the small price; I'm damn glad I have it.
