・UIは使いやすい
・変換が必要となる動画はファイルが破損しやすく、画質も大きく低下する。 - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14250504, 7 years agoYou can download videos from website, but there is a huge QR code on the top left hand side, that require you to pay to remove it, and it is not cheap.

For a very long time I've recommended this add-on to the people I know, but lately there's been a change that adds a QR code overlaid on top of the downloaded video. The QR code only shows up on videos where the option to download is an ADP variant. The only option to get rid of the QR code on ADP variants is to buy a license. Holding a certain feature as paid-only is debatable, but for me I could accept it in a way. I do understand that so long as the main functionality of the add-on is not hindered, adding a paid-feature that's purely extra and bonus could be a good incentive for people to fund the add-on.
That normally wouldn't be an issue but after recent updates I was really concerned to see that the only download options that came up were the ADP variants which require purchase. I don't mind a paid option, but the fact that the entire add-on seemed to remove functionality from itself unless you paid for it was startling.
There is an option in the configuration settings that allow you to check "Hide ADP variants", and perhaps that may have fixed it. I was really worried that the add-on wouldn't allow one to download anything un-QR-coded without payment. More experimentation is needed to see if there's always going to be an MP4 download option as the add-on functioned just as before.
I'm writing this review to state that I was got a good scare from this recent update, but so long as the add-on retains full-functionality for free users I'll remain viewing things in good faith. Once again, I can understand creating incentives for funding, but to withhold functionality that was openly available before ransom would've scared me. I've been meaning to donate money before I even knew there was an ADP variant license available because I honestly have been a heavy user of this nifty add-on for a while, but haven't done so because I'm currently pretty lean financially. I'm just hoping that this add-on will remain in good faith towards everybody. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13944776, 7 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by tdebruin73, 7 years agoUsed to be the best. Now it places scannercodes in the top left corner in order to 'pursuade' you to give the developer money. Too bad.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14165441, 7 years agoDoesn't notify you about the ADP aggregation, puts a big QR Code box that blocks alot of the video if you haven't donated, there is only a bit of info if you read the info wall of text. Doesn't tell you about the addon that you need to install.
3/5 stars for misinformation. - Rated 3 out of 5by Don_Harrison, 7 years agoUseful as NetVideohunter does not work on the latest Forefox

- Rated 3 out of 5by Amin, 7 years agoIt is the best downloader available but it has got a lot of draw backs.
- Rated 3 out of 5by larryzweig, 7 years agoIt IS really good and "worth the price":
I do have more and more problems with different sources and I have no idea where the problems are.
Often, VDH seems not to be working, but it is possibly working in the background. I even get error messages, but if I wait I might just find that it did work. Problem with that is, I get no information, and if I close FF or shut down I might be killing several downloads in progress. But, like right now, if I sit here and wait for the 2 remaining downloads to finish, I might find that these 2 really had errors. I blame most of this on Mozilla..... - Rated 3 out of 5by Joy, 7 years agoOnce I finally figured out how to download mp3's from the videos, I started using the addon again. I don't like the ADP 'feature", as it takes literally hours to convert the video. I use another program when I want to download mp4 video, because this one just doesn't do it. Give me back the old VideoDownloadHelper because it was way better than this version.
