- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18802802, a month agoIt's a pity, but recently (for several days), YouTube does not allow this extension to download videos, although everything works fine on other video hosting sites! Therefore, the rating is minimal for now - author, fix it!
- Rated 1 out of 5by MaximusLeBastard, a month agoThe Video DownloadHelper used to work before, but I'm not sure when it stopped. I tried using it recently, but it doesn't show any videos available for download.

- Rated 1 out of 5by calcifer, a month agostarted out S-tier, then youtube added translation audio tracks and the extension couldn't deal with that, then youtube did something else and the extension can't download youtube videos at all. its still maybe C-tier for the things it can do, but not being able to deal with youtube is a huge miss.
THIS ALL CHANGES if the developers can work around these two issues and gets things working again. basically, F you, youtube.
tanj, now it doesn't download the audio track from twitter. going from bad to worse, here. - Rated 1 out of 5by Provis, a month ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16889911, a month agoDoesn't work for youtube, either with Mozilla Firefox, or with Google Chrome. I paid the license.
- Rated 1 out of 5by shagbark, a month agoOn vimeo, it gives a list of video resolutions to record, but clicking on them does nothing.
On YouTube, it doesn't even detect a video.
I know it's hard to keep up with them keeping up with you, and I don't expect a free downloader to always work. I'm just reporting that this one currently doesn't. - Rated 1 out of 5by NextGen-IT, a month agoThe only relevant platform for this extension: YouTube isnt working anymore. I paid for it! I am pretty mad

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18798108, 2 months agoAbsolut wertlos. Seit Jahren genutzt, aber seit einigen Tagen funktioniert nichts mehr. Findet keine Medien und das Icon bleibt farblos.
Ignoranz gegenüber all den negativen Kommentaren in der letzten Zeit?! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14941773, 2 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16402715, 2 months ago(01/21/2025) Addon „Video DownloadHelper“ works a long time properly. Since 3 days it is telling „there is no media detected to work on“ each time I try and even the Youtube video is running fine. Windows (11 23H2), Firefox 134.0.2 (64-Bit) and Video DownloadHelper addon (9.1.2.0). Seems like I’m not the only one having this issue. I’m waiting for a fix.

I only left 1-star so that other users can see it, I will edit the review later once the issue is fixed. - Rated 1 out of 5by The Reel Story, 2 months agoThis is to help everyone while they hopefully can get a fix out the for YouTube videos. The extension still works if you play the file through Media Mister. Go there and when you copy the YT link into there and hit download on your quality choice it will play a version of the file in a new window and the toolbar will pick it up for download....I know its a pain but its something for those of you who need it like I do
- Rated 1 out of 5by Peter Gloor, 2 months agoit shows as installed on my computer but after the latest Firefox update is inactive. Have tried to install it again, no result
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18796718, 2 months agothis addon sucks, the normal version doesnt work on half of the sites and the beta version does, but when you download something the resulting video has a quarter of it covered with a horrendous qr leading to his page
- Rated 1 out of 5by Johnny Miranda, 2 months agoDo NOT buy this. I paid money for it and it was perfect for downloading YouTube videos. It suddenly stopped working. it finds nothing, NOTHING to download.
Completely stopped working without any explanation.
