by Firefox user 13265629, 7 years agoit's really sad the support for VimFX will stop and now I have to use this one. It's ok, although it needs some work. Here are some suggestions:
- in VimFx, i can re-map every key. I especially miss the re-mapping of the generated Huffmann Tree Link-Codes, since I don't use a QWERTY-Keyboard.
- VimFx had a clean and simple representation of the Link-Codes, this one has some weird shadowing going on. It's minor, but yeah.. I like my things clean and simple
- If the focus in on the URL-Navigation Bar, I can't use Esc to focus the website content
- Closing Tab (x) does only work if a website is open. When I open a tab, it goes to about:blank and i can't close it. However, it closes if I go to it manually. Kind of weird behaviour.
positive things:
- Link-Codes don't overlap, very useful on reddit
- the Navigation Bar showing Up on O is awesome!

I spent about an hour looking for a decent extension that adds regex search to firefox, only to discover that the Vimium search has the option to use regex. And I discovered the tab (T) and bookmark (B) searches. Incredible. Absolutely love this thing.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Mike, 13 days agoI use this addon daily for about 2 years. It is worth it for (N)Vim users. Plugin also has nice customization options. Thank you very much FOSS devs who made it :)

I like most default mappings.. a few could be improved. uppercase H, L, J and K for example. I - Rated 5 out of 5by shura0, a month agoПолностью настраивается, включая внешний вид. Работает как часы, авторы даже предусмотрели настройку, чтобы горячие клавиши работали в не-латинской раскладке

One feature request: an option to have transparent link indicators automatically populate on the page every so often.
The transparency and frequency should be configurable by the user.
Why? Because navigating requires first pressing 'e' then scanning and parsing the tags. Having a faint ghost outline will speed up both the scanning and the parsing, making navigation almost instant. As soon as the user wants to click a link, they already instantly know what keys to press.
The downside is that the automatically populating tags could be seen as obtrusive, so let the user adjust the transparency and frequency to their preference. (Or turn it off completely if they don't mind being slow pokes! :P) - Rated 5 out of 5by Ayrarat, 4 months ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Andreas, 4 months agoWhat a game changer! I just switched my development environment completely over to a vim centric style. So many daily tools on the command line use vim style keybindings, and help to get used to that style of navigation. This Vimium browser extension lets you use your finger muscle memory also while using the browser! In the browser I work a lot, and so this extension is a smooth productivity game changer! Thanks!
