posted 8 months agoPlease follow the instructions to sync Android Messages with the Browser!- Rated 1 out of 5by RideauTrio, 2 years agoThis is NOT a Firefox add-on, this is more like a BOOKMARK on a button to bring you to the normal Google Messages website with some bloated/nagging messages included for you!
I'm currently a PulseSMS add-on user, they have, at least, a 'real' Firefox add-on.
PulsesSMS add-on allows you to read/write respond, manage etc... your SMS messages in a real pop-up window, no website needed.
If you are currently on a website that allows pop-up windows, then adding this to your bookmark shortcut will 'simulate' a pop-up window with the google messages website loaded:
You can adjust the windows width= & height= in the URL string.
Bookmark URL: javascript:var%20nul%20=%20window.open('https://messages.google.com/web/conversations','_blank','directories=no,titlebar=no,toolbar=no,location=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,width=800,height=600');Developer response
posted 2 years agoThe extension has a lot more than that. 1-click Window Screenshots, Incognito mode for others don't spy on your screen (very useful for office users dont have colleagues spying on your messages), imersive Emoji-Keyboard integration, logoff, auto-start on computer boot, Multi-window, Themes, notifications, missing messages count on the icon badge in the icon on the browser tollbar and easy access to Google Meet and Google Chat within the same App.
Dont cross advertise other extensions on other Dev extensions :)

- Rated 5 out of 5by DnSage63, 3 years agoThis is a very good message system to sync with your devices and use on your PC. I can write so much faster, I can 'drag and drop' from internet pages. I works faster than my phone to write messages because I can use my keyboard and I can see it (bigger letters) I am a oldie but this makes me look good...

- Rated 1 out of 5by foxfire_user, 3 years agoNags you with a bunch of nonsense and begs for "premium" subscriptions.
It's a popup window for "messages.google.com" with tacked on bloatware.
I really don't trust this extension.Developer response

- Rated 3 out of 5by iNFRiNGE, 5 years ago**FIXED**
See below and updated rating to 3 Stars as it still has some issues.
To be clear people, THERE IS NO OFFICIAL Google Messages for Web, not even a Chrome Plugin. Click on any of Googles official (by Google) Apps, Plugins, or Add-ons for additional things from them and see for yourself.
Using Firefox 71 just updated this add-on:
1) *No longer usable as there's no longer a QR code just an empty box.
2) **Send Feedback link is broken.
Ongoing problems prior to this update:
3) Does NOT retain Remember this Computer status.
4) Has no way to send long SMS messages as MMS nor the option to do so (This should be default in 2019 already).
*FIXED: I deleted all cookies related to messages.google and all google messages. Closed FF and rebooted PC. It now shows the QR code.
Only 3 stars because it still fails to remember settings and the MMS ordeal.
It's 2020 Oinksters get with the program this should easily be a 5 Star extension for crying out loud.
Edit: Corrected QR spelling, added additional problems.
Edit 2: Added 2 stars and additional information.Developer response

- Rated 2 out of 5by Brian Erle, 5 years agoI'm not sure why there is this extension. It appears to be just a different way to start up Message for Web from Google. The service from Google works fine on Firefox when you are NOT in private browsing mode. When in private browsing mode the QR code will not populate so you can't start the service. This Extension was supposed to work in private mode too, but it did not work for me. When I restarted Firefox and launched the extension it just went to the Google page with the blank QR code. So, I am not sure what good the extension is in private mode, and since it opens a separate window apart from your tabs it is not nearly as convenient as the Google service. Too bad, I thought this would be better than the Google service.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Petey Boy, 5 years agoSeems I have to re-sign in regularly even though I clicked remember this computer. When it's working it's good, even though I can't figure out how to switch text to mms on my laptop. Needs some work.
