- Rated 1 out of 5by Jeff, 2 years agoIDK what happened to Wikiwand, but it sucks now! It used to be so amazing, but now it's barely a step above Wikipedia. The page is all white with now banner picture. I've tried to change the settings thinking that some update did it on its own, but it just makes it worse. I've been using Wikiwand as longs as I can remember and have recommended it to many, but now . . . I couldn't care less about it. Thanks for adding one more disappointment to my life!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Muzzie, 2 years agoUsed it for quite some time but as of recently it started blocking access to wikipedia.org... Had to remove it to read wikipedia.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Smingus, 3 years agoWikiwand was one of the single best plugins for a web browser until this recent update. I don't even mind the UI overhaul because I found a color set that appealed to me a lot more than the previous light and dark mode. However, the search function has been totally butchered and there is a persistent notification in the upper right hand corner to add Wikiwand to Firefox which I obviously already have because I am looking at the page.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Rodion Borisov, 3 years agoThis website is too green, and no proper source code addressed. What the hell is with this Wordpress-esque wannabe design? "Upgrade" button that was renamed to "Tell friends". Surely you jest!
Pinterest and few other monopoly buttons in 2022. You're serious? Everything screams Branding Bloat.
Very inconsistent main menu icons and colors. Readability factor is garbage. Incoherent usage of typography and HTML5. Incomplete dark theme.
Many people already told that Wikiwand doesn't respect privacy, and it's easily proven by uBlock Origin. - Rated 1 out of 5by all9n, 3 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17018200, 3 years agoUsed to be great. Now it is bloated, and confusing. Garbage AI feature, advertisement, overly complicated settings, missing language change... So many bad decisions. I chose a new addon for the old facelift I used to achieve with this addon.
I left the old review below:
Excellent addon. Makes Wikipedia look 21st Century web encyclopedia. - Rated 1 out of 5by choual, 4 years agoCette extension n'améliore pas Wikipedia, elle vous redirige juste vers un autre site en s’appropriant le contenu de Wikipedia.. À fuir.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Aphant, 4 years agoVery good, and almost perfect in my experience. My requests concern dark mode: the visibilty of links (the blue colour) be made more distinct and, (I'm not sure if this is possible) the screen flash when loading be black instead of white, to not attack the eyes whenever you click into a new wiki page

- Rated 1 out of 5by UPukaJRm, 4 years agoAfter loading Wikiwand, I tried a Wikipedia page to test it and nothing appeared. I opened Ublock Origin and found that Wikiwand was try to contact many tracker spying websites and blocking these call homes stops the Wikipedia page from loading with Wikiwand installed. While I want Wikiwand to be able to create this add on, stealth spying is no acceptable. Tell users or do not spy on them!

Privacy Badger blocked 3 potential trackers on www.wikiwand.com:

- Rated 1 out of 5by informationsuperriver, 4 years agoIf you put wikiwand under the markup's blacklight, you'll find 24 ad trackers (7x times the normal) and 38 third-party-cookies. Not surprising, but also not worth it. Spy on someone else.

- Rated 1 out of 5by narancasta, 4 years agoAside from paid AI overdose no one asked for, Wikiwand is broken now on Firefox, with 'Contents' sidebar a near-endless list of headings because they do not nest and fold properly, H2 under H1 and so on. Add to that Wikipedia now has dark mode, and there's no reason to use this anymore
- Rated 1 out of 5by rhin, 4 years agoThis addon doesn't enhance wikipedia by injecting CSS, it just takes you to another site. The description is very deceptive as most users won't notice that.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Nick, 5 years agoMisleading description. This plugin doesn't change Wikipedia outlook, it constantly takes you to a different site.
- Rated 1 out of 5by the21st, 5 years agoI am getting a "The page isn’t redirecting properly" when trying to access wikipedia. So this extensions stopped me from reading wikipedia altogether.
