by Firefox user 15097235, a year agoAbsolute LIFESAVER!!
I have been using this a few days now, and nearly the only limitation affecting me, fullscreen, is mentioned in the extension info. :) Theater mode doesn't work, and other users say playlists don't work; neither which does not hurt too much in my case, but be wary.
Fortunately (LPT!!) Firefox's picture-in-picture lets you go fullscreen on any PiP-able video, so, all I need to do is click the PiP icon, then double click the player or hit the arrow to go fullscreen.
So no convenient F key shortcut to go fullscreen, BUT:
You can still press C for captions and M to mute as usual, plus pause with space, arrow keys for vol/skip, ,. to frame skip, shift + ,. to change speed, and number keys to jump around.
1. The ability to open YouTube links normally from across the web, plus
2. mostly functional keyboard support
are huge benefits to me versus FreeTube, the open-source app that I tried as a different solution to my recent woes with YT anti-adblock. If this extension isn't for you (e.g. because of the playlist problem) and you don't mind clicking to navigate, check out FreeTube.
Thank you "meeeeemu" for the great extension that's saving my YouTube experience from those god-awful ads.
UPDATE: Doesn't work for age-restricted videos, but they are rare enough that I can find a way to cope

- Rated 4 out of 5by Erdin, Eray, a year agoThis is probably the closest to block adblock block blocker we can ever get. It has some quirks but mostly works like a charm.
Full screen does not work but if you double-right-click and click "Full Screen", it will go full screen (although you lose keyboard control for the player).
Since it basically replaces the player with an embed, it does not fill the player area elegantly. With large screens, your player will seem quite small.
But again, it delivers what it promises. o7 to the guy who made it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Adrian, a year agoThe wars begin, I migrated EVERYTHING from chrome, now gmail accounts are bonded to this hell farm, let the stupid wars of not letting corporations etch their names in our brains, this will be found out too, but we will find a way.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Mal, a year agoDoes as advertised... by creating an embed within the blocked video's box. Meaning you can't fullscreen.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Travis_M_AOG, a year agoThis is great, especially because all the other extensions can't get pass this issue, even with custom filters added on, however... If there could be something to fix this, it would help hugely to fix fullscreen being usable again. That would easily fix it wholly, please, if it can be done, please do this!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Window, a year agoWorks great when it comes to bypassing the adblock blocker, but downsides are that full screen is unavailable and playlists are unbelievably glitchy, plus the video is surrounded by a black border. Overall if I were to find another anti adblock bypasser, I'd definitely drop this one for it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Ka, a year agoTotally glitchy and unusable. Video controls are broken, keeps skipping and jumping to other videos. Had to close window because I couldn't stop it. I use ABP for ads.
- Rated 3 out of 5by theoneand33, a year agogood but doesn't let you use full screen i recommend this instead https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/477498-youtube-adblock-ban-bypass
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16062819, a year agoIt works, but it does have drawbacks like making playlists unviewable or breaking fullscreen. At this point, you can find other extensions that work better than this one without the drawbacks. I give it a 3 instead of 2 for being one of the first extensions out to tackle the problem
- Rated 4 out of 5by Chloé, a year agoWorks wonderfully well, everytime I get the anti-adblock popup this extention reactivates playback! Highly recommend having as a fallback in case uBlock's filters fail to catch YouTube's shenanigans.
I'm knocking down a star because no full screen support is a massive downside, but it is understandable due to the way the extention works, and it can be worked around with Firefox's PiP mode. - Rated 5 out of 5by quantumperplexity, a year agoIt works ... for my needs. I wanted to keep AdBlock installed but turned off for YouTube. As long as I keep another extension disabled (Enhancer for YouTube), this extension prevents the YouTube Ad Warning message from appearing. If Adblock is turned off for YouTube, this extension doesn't interfere with full screen or cut off the pause and other controls. If Adblock is enabled on YouTube, then the YouTube controls are cut off on the left and right side. I'm amazed it works as well as it does given Google's anti-adblock's efforts.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Red Impost, a year agoWorks, and definitely bypasses the youtube anti-adblock... No fullscreen is a fairly annoying downside, and theater mode doesn't really work either.
The biggest downside is that it does completely breaks playlists, it keeps switching to videos further down the playlist every second.
it's definitely worth having since you can just pause and unpause your adblocker whenever you feel like, and it does also work so that's cool atleast.
