publicado el hace 10 mesesHello,
If the issue happens even with ABP off/page allowlisted, it means that something else is causing it the issue. This article can be helpful to fix this problem: https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us/articles/1500003502101-Why-am-I-still-asked-to-turn-off-my-ad-blocker-after-allowlisting- - Se valoró con 3 de 5by Darenb, hace 10 mesesНаучитесь блочить яндекс-директ, после этого поговорим о премиум- подписке. publicado el hace 10 mesesHi,
Hi,
We are updating the extension, therefore a popup might appear (it will only happen once per browser/device), but you can simply close it and continue browsing. If you are seeing many payment tabs all at once or encountering the payment page every time you open your browser, please reach out to us via support@adblockplus.org.
Here's more about how our contribution page works: For non-Premium users, we populate the page when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to support Adblock Plus if you find the software beneficial. We don't track who has previously paid unless your extension is already upgraded to Adblock Plus Premium (and in that case we won't show you the update page at all). The contribution page also displays just after installing ABP so it sometimes appears even though you have recently contributed or have paid for Premium.- Se valoró con 3 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 14844453, hace 10 mesesThe constant reporting of what you've blocked is absolutely f@@cking annoying!

publicado el hace 10 mesesHi,
YouTube is intermittently testing strategies to show you ads or the anti-adblocking notification (ie. wall). We believe they intend to roll the wall out to their entire user base soon.
While our filter list authors are working on trying to address this issue, it may not be possible due to the way YouTube is now displaying the wall within the video itself.
If you don't want to try to find a workaround, instead of uninstalling, we recommend allowlisting YouTube which will allow you to continue using AdBlock on other sites you visit while avoiding the wall on YouTube. Note: allowlisting will allow YouTube to show you ads.
If you'd like me to send some of the workarounds that other users have reported have worked them please send us a message to support@adblockplus.org. - Se valoró con 3 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 17107515, hace un año

publicado el hace un añoHi Dan,
If you are using the Adblock Plus extension on a desktop browser, you should not be seeing full length ads though you may see a variety of different behaviors such as a temporary black screen or a very brief display of an ad (less than a second or two). These are related to our efforts to stop the entirety of the ad appearing.

publicado el hace un añoHi Justin,
YouTube's anti-adblock wall should no longer appear with the ABP desktop extension installed in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. You may see a variety of different behaviors such as a temporary black screen or a very brief display of an ad. These are related to our efforts to stop ads from appearing for you.
If you are using Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and you still see the anti-adblock notification, can you please reach out to us via support@adblockplus.org? We will be happy to look into it! - Se valoró con 3 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 18243576, hace un año
- Se valoró con 3 de 5by H.R., hace un añoTLDR - ABP is 100% adequate software. It does exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more. If you're a privacy-conscious home user, you would be better served by uBlock Origin. Enterprise users and casual home users, however, have much more incentive to use AdBlock Plus over competitors like uBlock Origin and AdGuard.
Pros:
1. Long history as robust, well-tested, well-maintained open-source software.
2. Default filter lists block advertisements, though not other forms of online tracking (see "Tangent" section of this review for why I think this is a pro.
3. Simpler content blocking rules mean that it's less liable to break stuff than a more robust content blocker.
Cons:
1. "Acceptable advertisements" are enabled by default. This fact becomes much more revolting when you keep in mind that Eyeo GmbH (the company that owns ABP) literally charges advertisers a hefty fee to be on the "acceptable ads" list, and that advertising networks who pay into the acceptable ads programme don't always adhere to the guidelines that Eyeo GmbH sets. You CAN opt out, and I encourage you to do so. This is a huge black mark on the reputation of a still-useful and beloved open-source application.
Neutral/Your Mileage May Vary
1. In enterprise/business situations, AdBlock Plus may very well be the *only* ad blocker your IT team recommends.
2. Relatively limited selection of filter lists. You're basically limited to the standard ABP filters, EasyList, EasyPrivacy, I Don't Care About Cookies, and the foreign language EasyList filters. Third party filter lists used to be commonplace, but a lot of them use UBO syntax as opposed to ABP syntax nowadays.
Tangent: ABP and Privacy
→ I would like to point out that almost every major browser from Firefox, to Safari, to Edge, to Brave, to Vivaldi, among countless others, all have *some* form of built-in privacy protection. They all use the same list of known trackers provided by the Disconnect team. Here's a rather shocking revelation: you DO NOT need to use tons of filter lists with ANY ad blocker when the browser you're using already has robust tracking protection built in by this point. ABP on default settings, acceptable ads turned off, and Firefox ETP settings set to "strict" will have you pretty well-protected from both targeted advertisements AND surveillance capitalism more generally. Anything else you do beyond that is subject to diminishing returns.
I give it three stars because it's a functional product that does exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more. It's not perfect, but it does not need to be. I would've given it four stars had Eyeo GmbH not irrevocably stained the reputation of this project with the Acceptable Ads programme. As for how I use it: I use ABP on my work laptop's browsers (Firefox and Edge) and it does the job. - Se valoró con 3 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 14183430, hace un año
