How to CHANGE THE SHORTCUT KEY F9 to something different:
– In Firefox, press “shift-cmd-A”) OR go to the menu “Tools/Add-ons and Themes” OR type “about:addons” in a Firefox brower window
– Click on the “gear wheel” icon to change the settings
– Select “Manage Extension Shortcuts” in the pop-up window
– Go to the “Clear Cache” addon
– Click in the input field to set the shortcut
– Press your preferred shortcut key (allowed keys are: function keys with or without modifier keys like shift, alt, cmd)

- Se valoró con 1 de 5por crystal, hace 5 díasI don't know what the "current tab filter" is supposed to do, but I just selected it and tried to clear my cookies for the current site only and you destroyed all of the cookies on my entire machine. Thanks a lot!

That really sucks. It was a bug in 4.4: “Current tab only” could wipe more than it should. I’ve already fixed it and sent the update to Mozilla, just waiting for approval. Once it’s out, it’ll behave correctly.

It was a bug in 4.4: “Current tab only” could clear beyond the active site. I’ve fixed it and submitted the update to Mozilla, it’s just waiting for approval. Once it’s out, it’ll behave correctly.

Who in their right mind wants the addon to wipe ALL their cache!? It should've been set to 15mins of current tab only, the minimum, by default. Now I'll have to re-login into all of my sites because of those unexpected s**ty defaults. Terrible UX

publicado el hace 4 díasI get why you’re upset. Just to clarify: the default doesn’t wipe cookies, it only clears cache. Losing logins would happen only if “Cookies” was enabled in options. The current default is cache only + current tab, but the time period is “all time.” You can switch it to 15 minutes in Options.
I also have long‑time users who prefer a full clean by default, which is why I kept “all time” as the default. Still, I’m open to adjusting it if most people want 15 minutes. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19538877, hace 2 meses

Almost too well, though -- it would be *AWESOME* if there was an option (enabled by default) that gives a little "Are you sure? All these things will be cleared:" prompt before actually clearing the cache, though. I've accidentally clicked on it when I had dozens of authenticated sessions open and it's a bit of an annoyance to have to go back through them all and log back in. Overall, though, it's exactly what I need for troubleshooting and development work, so highly recommended!
