Needed to turn it off to get to hosts on the other side of the proxy.
Still, quite nice aside from that misleading option, glad I don't have to go through the settings anymore. - Se valoró con 5 de 5by Neuron, hace 4 años

And then I found this and it's awesome. Thank you - Se valoró con 5 de 5by Alex, hace 5 añosWorks perfectly. The only think I need - better icon. I think there should be some color difference between states. Let's say, add green or red color to icon when proxy is enabled.

Domains that are mapped to an internal IP via DNS are not detected. I've tested it with Line 103 of background.js changed to return(isLocalIPv4(host) || isLocalIPv4(dns.resolve(host))); and it seems to work (needs dns permissions though)

publicado el hace 5 añosI'm not sure what the performance impact of that is, since that function is called for every request the browser makes. Not resolving DNS was a deliberate choice, and is why the option text mentions LAN IPs. It's fast (since we're just doing a simple pattern match) but imperfect.
It might be that it doesn't make much difference if the lookup is always cached internally by Firefox already, but the resolve documentation is a bit light on detail, so I don't know if we can rely on that or not. - Se valoró con 5 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 16178132, hace 5 años

Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 6 añosThis should already be supported, but it only works if the relevant setting is enabled (there are details in the addon description). - Se valoró con 5 de 5by Usuario de Firefox 15311978, hace 6 añosThanks Richard for explaining the new needs for the perms. Love this addon for use in my regular SSH tunneling.
If I could request, it'd be pretty cool if the button was instead a dropdown rather than a toggle, to select from a list of user-configured proxies.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 6 añosI'd rather keep configuration as simple as possible, and my time to work on this is fairly limited, so I don't plan to add support for multiple proxies. Anyone is welcome to fork the code and do that though (I think the main nuisance would be overhauling the settings UI). - Se valoró con 5 de 5by p1973, hace 6 años
