For those complaining about the robotic sounding voice... Try switching to "GoogleTranslate English" voice or one of Google's other voices. - Se valoró con 3 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18418147, hace un añoIt's gotten worse. It still works, but it randomly stops sometimes then you only have to start over at the top of the text. It used to be able to read things to me in the background but it only does that for a few paragraphs and then stops again. Basically, it's buggy and used to work better.

It opens a little window on the top right of the browser and this window closes down if you click somewhere else. This is not useful if you like to take notes while being shown where in the text the reading is happening.
No images are shown in that window, only text. Therefore sometimes I don't know to which picture I should look at in the original page (in the text sometimes it says "...as demonstrated in the picture on the left"). I tried to scroll down on the original text whenever I heard that but then the little window would close and I'd lost myself once again. Too much cognitive load.
In my opinion it would be best if the read aloud took place in the original page, not in a popup window. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por henryk, hace 2 años

It would also be nice if instead of having a separate popout window, it just highlighted the word it was reading on the webpage itself, with just pause/play and skip buttons. (Even better if I could click on the page and play from there instead of having to skip a bunch of the content to find where I want to resume listening)
All of that said, the add-on does read the pages for me, and once I confirm I'm not a robot the google voices are great.
