by UPukaJRm, hace 4 añosThis is great! Having the left panel toggled off by default is wonderful. Plus, the toggle button does not take up a whole row of pixels. And the Links button is handy too when I just want to read. An option to remove the language flags would be nice since I only use English but that's a small thing - small but super handy five star add on, thank you!
PS - if you could add blocking Wikimedia (Wikipedia and Fandom) shortcuts by default with a toggle button to active them, that would be great. I was searching for an add on to do that and found your Better gem.
2023.01.18 update:
I just noticed some (but not all) Wikip links now have a left hand panel, even with Better Wikipedia installed. The left panel seems to be back on TV show episode lists and other Wikip pages with a table. I hope this is fixable with an update to your great add since I'm so used to no left panel. Thanks for your efforts either way!

publicado el hace 4 añosYeah, this was made primarily made for my own use. I needed an easy way to switch languages (especially between English and Japanese) when the sidebar was hidden. So, I hard-coded those languages, because it is a lot less work than making it customisable. I thought about customising those languages, and when I have some free time, maybe I will do it.

Nevertheless, this add-ons is the easiest way and does EXACTLY what I want. It gives me more text space while providing easy access to a handful of other languages (I usually use 2 or 3).
Thank you for this work!
PS: It would be awesome to have this for wiktionary, too.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 5 añosThere already is the same thing for Wiktionary. See "More extensions by..." Since a few days ago, it is not showing the language buttons. I guess this is because they changed HTML. I will fix that in a few days.
The problem is that French Wikipedia/Wiktionary started using weird HTML that are different from other languages like English or Japanese. Making my extensions work with French was complicated than I thought, so I had been working on that (but stopped to do other things).
