por Mark Delorme, hace 8 añosThis app is rubbish and deserves less than 1 star, if that were possible. The previous versions of Firefox allowed "DblClicker" to work just fine and that extension was genius.
Response to developer: The context menu should not open when you are intending to use it only for the purpose of closing an open tab. Page contents often interfere with the functionality of the right-click. Something that works with Firefox tabs would be ideal; something that utilizes double-click trigger (or triple) rather than right-click trigger would also be great, since then you wouldn't need to compromise the abilities of a context menu being readily available.

publicado el hace 8 añosThanks for the feedback. Can you provide any more details about the problem you are facing so that it can be fixed ?
EDIT:
- The intention of this extension is to support the use-case of those users who open and eventually close a lot of tabs while working with mouse
- Double right click is a simple and unused gesture, hence it fits well with the target use-case of this extension
- The context menu shows up because that happens as soon as the first click is registered. Apart from that, it is not possible to control the native context menu
- You mentioned "Page contents often interfere with the functionality of the right-click". I do not see how that affects the purpose of this extension
- You mentioned "Something that works with Firefox tabs would be ideal". Assuming that you are talking about the tab header:
a). Apparently it is not supported in the new WebExtensions architecture used by Firefox
b). The user would still need to move the mouse up to the tab header. While the purpose of this extension is to avoid the need of moving mouse at all for closing the tab :-)

- Se valoró con 4 de 5por RH, hace un añoThis add-on works perfectly - using its current left-click-right-click. On every website I've used it on, it's worked properly. That said: I had to disable this extension. There are too many times where I'll close a tab that I didn't want closed. Notably, I'll double-left-click text (to select it), then immediately right-click on that text (to get the context menu for options), and the tab will close. That's such a common click pattern with webpage text, I can't keep this otherwise excellent extension.

Again, it does NOT work on every website. It closes a tab just by clicking right click only. Very annoying !!!
Previously I had given 5 stars, THEN it was not working anymore with the double-right-click action so it went down to one star and now it's working again cause the developer made a clever change with this Close tab by left-click-immediately-followed-by-right-click. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por fantom23, hace 2 años

The issue has now been fixed (with a slightly updated gesture). Please find more details at https://github.com/webextensions/close-tab-by-double-right-click/issues/12
Kindly note that it might take a few days/weeks before the updated extension gets approved by Mozilla and becomes available on the Mozilla add-ons store. Respuesta del desarrollador

Think of it as the equivalent of a Ctrl+W with your other hand. Invaluable!

- Se valoró con 4 de 5por MisfortuneCookie, hace 4 añosDoes what it says on the tin. Unfortunately, the right click menu is opened after the tab is closed. C'est la vie.
- Se valoró con 3 de 5por Sunsh, hace 4 añosAfter closing the current window, a right-click menu screen will be displayed in the next window
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Thomas, hace 4 añosWould be cool, if the context menu would not open at all in the case of double right click!
Why does it open?
The tab closes though, which is good! - Se valoró con 4 de 5por miguelk, hace 5 añosWorks great! Thank you! However, very sad it still hasn't been fixed so the context menu doesn't stay open on double right click. The Chrome version works just fine. Why is this so...?

- Se valoró con 3 de 5por Darvin Atkeson, hace 7 añosIt works incredibly well but causes some issues with various sites such as Facebook. Most notable symptom is dialog boxes where comments would go do not show up. I have tried it with and without the Stylus plugin. Turning Double Right Click plugin off and reloading the Facebook page seems to resolve the problem but I really, really want this feature.
If I can provide any assistance on troubleshooting it let me know. It's an excellent add on! - Se valoró con 3 de 5por John Corliss, hace 7 añosIt works, but it leaves the context menu open. Also, it doesn't close Mozilla websites. "Double Click on Page Closes Tab" has the same problem with Mozilla pages.
