Regularly breaks. What I mean is that, if you log in and enable the VPN upon first installing it works. Then use firefox as normal, exit firefox, open firefox again etc. and eventually the addon will just hang. You click the little icon to manage it and it just shows a loading wheel. Won't let firefox connect to the internet while it sits there broken. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the addon which requires logging in all over again. Very buggy.
Additionally, leaks DNS.

    It would be nice if there was a way to pin certain countries/location to the top of the list, or if the extension remembered the last few countries you used.

    Otherwise, great extension.

    Cela fait plus d'un an que j'utilise Proton VPN (payant). Qu'il s'agisse de l'app (Linux ou Android) ou de l'extension pour Firefox, j'en suis ravi. J'ai utilisé pas mal de VPN depuis pas mal d'années, et Proton VPN (et Proton en général) est devenu incontournable pour moi ! Je pense aussi que le rapport qualité-prix pour la suite Proton est vraiment excellent, surtout dans un monde internet de mois en mois sûr !

    "Certaines fonctionnalités peuvent être payantes" dès qu'on a installé l'extension il faut payer donc c'est mensonger!

We do have a free plan that costs $0 and allows you to secure your internet connection with no ads, no logs, and provides the same level of privacy and security as our paid plans. Anyone can sign up for our free plan, and we don't ask for any payment details during signup (https://protonvpn.com/free-vpn). You can navigate to https://protonvpn.com/support/browser-extensions for more details on how to use the Proton VPN browser extension.

    That said, some features are available exclusively on our paid plans so as to achieve a balance between offering a free service and providing added benefits to our paid subscribers.

    Leider startet das Addon nicht fehlerfrei automatisch mit dem Start von Firefox. Firefox ladet keine Seiten bei eingeschalteten aqutostart des Addon und stürzt ab. Ohne eingestellten Autostart funktioniert es, daher 3 Sterne.

    Basically works perfectly. Highly recommend but you may have to fiddle with your system proxy settings if they're not set to auto detect

    Original review: "Installs easy and looks simple enough. It connects but doesn't work at all in that all I get is "Unable to find the proxy server". I have allowed the permission for ProtonVPN to manage the setting so I don't know how it can be wrong. If I take away the permission it doesn't allow it to connect. Literally a fresh firefox install of the latest version. Connects to internet fine with no proxy or other funny business when turned off. Basically it looks like the thing connects and then breaks the Proxy settings to not use the tunnel."

    That doesn't sound right. Are you using any other extensions for privacy/security purposes? What type of internet connection are you using?     Its a great vpn and works great, no ads, nothing bad about it.

    But currently i find a problem where if you close the browser with the vpn on after you reopen the browser it will try to connect to vpn immediately but will instead basically remove internet connection to the entire browser, making the extension itself inaccessible as well, only solution is to disable the extension and re-enable

    Would be great if it had a "default connection" option and a "Recents" list like on the iOS app. Selecting the preferred country each and every time is a bit of a pain point when it's half-way down the list of countries.

    Also, can you make split tunneling work the opposite way? i.e. I only want some websites to go throught the VPN.
