publicado el hace un añoI know, it's inconvenient and demands a lot of trust. This add-on only reads data when you call it up, and it does not read data in pages other than the image it's operating on. Either way, it doesn't send info to me -- I have no interest what is happening in anyone else's browser.
For what it's worth, I did *try* to write this extension *without* that permission. If the image is hosted on the same server as the page (both the same server as listed in the address bar), then the fact that you right-clicked the image could grant one-time permission automatically (so called activeTab permission).
But a large proportion of images are hosted on a different server, so that method failed frequently in real world testing. Maybe there is a new solution to this four years down the road? I'll update this reply if I find one and rewrite the add-on. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 15597296, hace un año

On smaller images the button bar doesnt clip around the webpage frame but it is what it is. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Agile, hace 2 años

publicado el hace 2 añosHi Limmyfiz, you can give me more details about the problem by opening an issue on Github at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/ or sending me an email to jscher2000@outlook.com.
(Update: version 1.5.1 pops up a little panel with some more options when the script is denied permission to read the page. Previously that just caused silent failure.)- Se valoró con 4 de 5por Владимир, hace 2 añosApologies, but the quick save didn't work. Firefox says: 'Error: missing ) after argument list'

publicado el hace 2 añosApologies for overlooking your review when you posted it. If this error still appears in version 1.4, can you share the URL of the page with the problem image(s), either here or on Github at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues or by email at jscher2000@outlook.com. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 17411074, hace 2 años

publicado el hace 2 añosHmm, the canvas used for the format conversion should scale to the natural dimensions of the image, but it sounds like there is some enlargement factor that I missed with those. So I can test the problem site, could you email me at jscher2000@outlook.com or submit a new issue on https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues ? Thanks.
As a workaround until then, you can try the "IE11" button, which re-requests the image as an older browser to discourage sending modern formats. Depending on the site, that may work for you. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18029131, hace 2 años
