SciCalc Sidekick — Scientific Calculator por ScienceDigest.org
A precision scientific calculator in Firefox's sidebar: type whole expressions, unit-aware math (5 kg * 9.81 m/s^2 = 49.05 N), LaTeX-typeset results, a unit converter, and a private, on-device history.

Sobre esta extensión
Keep a real scientific calculator one keystroke away — in Firefox's sidebar, right beside the page you're reading. No lost tabs, no app-switching.
WHAT IT DOES
• Expression engine — type whole expressions, not button sequences: (3.2e-4 * sin(pi/6))^2 / sqrt(2), evaluated as typed. Trig, logs, roots, factorials, permutations & combinations, and more.
• Unit-aware math — 5 kg * 9.81 m/s^2 → 49.05 N; 2 atm → 202.65 kPa. Dimension mistakes return clear messages, never NaN.
• LaTeX-quality output — every result is beautifully typeset with KaTeX. Copy any result as LaTeX for your notes or report.
• Unit converter — 12 categories (length, mass, time, pressure, energy, power, force, volume, temperature, data, angle, frequency), with correct affine-temperature handling.
• Physics formula references — nine classics (escape velocity, kinetic energy, ideal gas law, pendulum period, projectile range, population growth, molarity, orbital period, gravitational force), each linking to the full explanation.
• Persistent history — every calculation is saved on your device like a lab notebook: re-run, copy, or delete. Survives restarts and never leaves your machine.
• Quick access — an always-visible DEG/RAD indicator, a one-line quick calc from the toolbar popup, and right-click "Send to SciCalc" to pull a selected number (with its units) straight into the sidebar.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All computation happens on your device. Your calculations are never transmitted anywhere. No analytics, no tracking, no data collected.
