Universal AI Backup - Backup and export AI conversations
Tab Manager Pro - Professional tab management
Both extensions share the same privacy-first principles and data handling practices.

ProTools ("we") respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
License Validation Data: Email address (provided during purchase), License key (generated for your subscription), Subscription tier, Product type (which extension), Activation date, Validation timestamps
User Preferences:
Universal AI Backup: Export format preference, button position, settings
Tab Manager Pro: Search preferences, suspend timer, sort order, settings
💡 Important: This data never leaves your device except during license validation. See "How We Use Your Data" section below.
Data We DO NOT Collect:
❌ AI chat messages or responses (Universal AI Backup)
❌ Tab content, titles, or URLs (Tab Manager Pro)
❌ Exported file contents (either extension)
❌ Browsing history
❌ Behavioral analytics or tracking data
❌ Location data
❌ Device information beyond basic browser data
🔓 3. EXTENSION PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
Universal AI Backup Permissions:
activeTab: Access the current tab to detect AI platforms and export conversations
storage: Save license status and user preferences locally
scripting: Inject export functionality into AI platform pages
tabs: Detect which AI platforms are open
contextMenus: Add right-click menu for quick export
host_permissions: Access specific AI platform websites (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enable backup functionality
Tab Manager Pro Permissions:
tabs: Read and manage browser tabs (core functionality)
storage: Save license status, user preferences, and saved sessions locally
activeTab: Highlight the currently active tab in the manager
Privacy Guarantee: Even with these permissions, we do NOT read tab content, track your activity, or send any browsing data to our servers.
🔧 4. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use collected data only for:

✅ License validation and subscription management
✅ Processing refund requests and billing issues
✅ Sending subscription-related emails (receipts, renewals, cancellations)
✅ Preventing fraud and abuse
✅ Providing customer support
We do NOT:

❌ Sell your data to third parties
❌ Use your data for advertising
❌ Share your data except with payment processors

Active subscriptions: Data retained while subscription is active
Cancelled subscriptions: Data retained for 90 days for support purposes
Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax/accounting compliance
License keys: Can be deleted upon request after cancellation

Our extensions and license validation server do NOT use cookies. Payment processors (Stripe/Coinbase) may use cookies during checkout. Refer to their privacy policies.

We use these third-party services:

Stripe: Payment processing
Coinbase Commerce: Cryptocurrency payments (if applicable)
Railway.app: Server hosting
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share any browsing data or tab information with these services.

👶 10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Our service is not intended for children under 13.

🌍 11. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Our servers are located in the United States. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States. For EU users: We comply with GDPR. Your data is processed lawfully under the "performance of contract" legal basis.

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes by:

Updating the "Last Updated" date

Sending an email to active subscribers
