Any information submitted via either of these 2 methods will not be shared without your express written consent, unless by the terms above.

Now this extension also collects generalized data for analytical purposes.
I will try my best to keep this data as un-personal as possible.

all of this data may be openly shared in general groups but is not linkable with each other
For example, I may show how many users there are in Seattle, or how many users are using the newest version of firefox, but these will be independent when collected. There will be no way for me to say how many users in Seattle are using the newest version of firefox.

types, why, how.

Location

I collect broad location data (country, state, city) THIS GETS NO MORE SPECIFIC THAN A ZIP CODE.

because this extension is made for a group based in seattle, I thought it would be interesting to see a map of where all the users are.

upon page load, the webpage will send your ip address to https://ip-api.com/json/ (privacy policy https://ip-api.com/docs/legal)

then the json data returned will be sent to a google sheet to be recorded. this is in accordance with googles privacy policy, which is kinda horrible. (https://policies.google.com/privacy)

Clicks, device info and interaction

I collect data on how many users there are total, how many times a button is clicked in total, what operating systems are in use, what browser versions are in use, what devices are in use, time of day of use. All because statistics are fun. none of this data is connected to each other, each data point is sent to a google sheet upon collection, and there's no way to triangulate what somebody clicked even if they are the only arch linux user on firefox 130.2.5.7 . I will only collect, +1 user on linux - arch and separately +1 user on firefox 130.2.5.7. this data processed in accordance with google's privacy policy, I'm sorry, it's horrible but it's free: :) (https://policies.google.com/privacy)

if you have a problem with this I'm sorry, I am a solo dev, I can't fix it right now, please don't ask me to fix it unless it's a specific thing I can change and you have a plan for me to change it within reason.

If you want to, this software is cc-nc-by-4.0 share-alike licensed, feel free to download the .xpi from firefox, unzip it, and modify it to your hearts content to fit your needs and wishes.
