I would like to see it have an option to remember the last folder saved to, as I save to many different folders and it gets tedious to have to drill down to a specific folder when downloading similar videos each time.

Firstly, let us specify the directory to save the original video file in. We have the option for the converted audio file but not the original video. It always goes in Downloads. Secondly, let us specify the path to ffmpeg rather than install another copy. Most of our systems have ffmpeg already, just verify the path. Thanks for the good product. My grandchildren love mp3s that I get from the Youtube videos.

I already had FFmpeg, so this was fairly easy for me to set up. Once set up, in two clicks I can get correctly muxed DASH videos in my download folder. Maybe if you don't know what nodeJS or FFmpeg are it sounds scary to install? Firefox runs a batch file, the batch file executes nodeJS, which executes FFmpeg.
A download button in the YouTube player page would have been preferable(but susceptible to Google messing up the layout), but the standard addon button isn't terrible. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Olegi, hace 7 años

But you can not see the progress of the downloads.
So you can not cancel a download or see how long it will take. (they dont show up in the about:downloads tab)
I chose this addon because my favorite addon for youtube downloads is not being upgraded to ff57.
I really dont like the web extensions only update mozilla forced upon us!
But i appreciate the effort the maker of this addon is making for us.
I hope these points will get fixed at some point, and this could become my new favorite addon for youtube downloads. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 12437303, hace 8 añosNext best thing to DownThemAll! until its creator decides to port it to FFQuantum. You have to manually put the 1080p+ audioless video and the accluded aac audio file in the media converter to merge them but hey, at least you aren't forced to "go pro" to have someone else do it for you.

Fine with the exceptions that you can't yet specify your own download location and, at least for me, it throws up a false negative in the form of a dialog saying "Something went wrong," etc. - when in fact it seems to have worked correctly. Both video and audio are there in one file and it plays as it should.

1. The download icon is invisible (but clicking it will work). I'm currently with the new YouTube interface (the one that lets you have a Dark theme), and I remember the Legacy version already fixed that. Please fix it :)
2. In this version, there's no label for the 60fps version of the video, the Legacy version had those labels :) Please update the icons for the 60fps videos since it confuses me a bit.
Those two are my only concerns, if those two are fixed, then I'd happily give it a 5 Star rating :D Really glad someone continued this because this add-on/extension is ultimately the best downloader for YouTube videos. I don't want to go through the cmd with youtube-dl to be honest, and this one just does it in one click! So please do fix the two things I mentioned :) - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 12765006, hace 8 añosAlthough works, is simple enough to use well.
The only downside I miss some functionality.
Currently there is no way to prefer or not prefer certain formats.
I'm trying to get webm files with VP9 and would like the addon to list those first.
Also when finding a duplicate, the addon should prompt me and ask me what to do.
Presenting three options: cancel, overwrite and add under different name. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Nick Jurkowski, hace 8 añosI'm glad that a new non-legacy version of this extension is available. I got everything to work, including adding the path to ffmpeg. Everything works like in the previous add-on. However, there's only 1 thing this one is missing: hiding filetypes of the available video downloads. I never use 3gp or WebM filetypes. I was able to hide these in the old add-on. Now these add extra "cluster" to the filetypes to download inside the video. Not a deal breaker, just extra annoyance over the old one.
