However, in some cases we've found that your settings might have changed which is why ads are suddenly appearing. If you are seeing a brief display of an add, these are related to our efforts to stop adds on YouTube. However, in some cases we've found that your settings might have changed which is why ads are suddenly appearing. Please try the following steps:
1 - Signing out of your YouTube account
2 - Make sure you haven't added YouTube to your allowlisted websites

It used to be the premier ad-block extension on the internet, but that was maybe 15 years ago. Over the last few years its declined in efficacy as well as becoming increasingly obtrusive. I'm sick and tired of opening up a new tab, only to have ABP trigger its advertisement tab begging me for money. It happens very regularly, sometimes several times within the same session.
I'm sick of it. I'm switching off of ABP. The last thing I wanted out of adblocker software is to make my own workflow inconvenient by introducing its own advertisements that are even more invasive than the ads it claims to block.
There are other, better, fish in the sea. Thanks for the good years, feels bad that you guys forced it in this direction.Kehittäjän vastaus
