    This addon was superb for more than a decade however it seems to experiencing some difficulty lately staying abreast of youtube's evil advertizing ways!

    If you are using the Adblock Plus extension on a desktop browser, you should not be seeing full length ads though you may see a variety of different behaviors such as a temporary black screen or a very brief display of an ad (less than a second or two).


    These are related to our efforts to stop the entirety of the ad appearing. If you are seeing full length ads, I recommend checking out this article: https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us/articles/26653087560595-Ads-appearing-on-YouTube

    Like many others I've just deleted Adblock due to the constant, disruptive begging for donations. It's uBlock Origin for me from now on.

    We are updating the extension, therefore a popup might appear (it will only happen once per browser/device), but you can simply close it and continue browsing. If you are seeing many payment tabs all at once or encountering the payment page every time you open your browser, please reach out to us via support@adblockplus.org.

    Here's more about how our contribution page works: For non-Premium users, we populate the page when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to support Adblock Plus if you find the software beneficial. We don't track who has previously paid unless your extension is already upgraded to Adblock Plus Premium (and in that case we won't show you the update page at all). The contribution page also displays just after installing ABP so it sometimes appears even though you have recently contributed or have paid for Premium.

    Terrible extension! Every other day, it goes against its own mission of preventing ads by creating its own. It opens its own tab without permission soliciting for donations. It's super annoying and disruptive. You have ruined your own brand because of your greed. I have removed you from all browsers and devices. Thank you for the short period of time when you were useful when you were doing what you set out to do.

    This extension has become intrusive. I get multiple pop-open tabs in different windows anytime the extension is updated asking for payment. They update just to show their fund raising page more frequently. They read Bill Gates' "An Open Letter to Hobbyists" and cheered. I am very close to uninstalling it and moving to something else.

    Reply: great business model you have; annoy people until they pay you. Must have some proud parents.

    We are indeed currently running a contribution campaign, therefore a contribution popup might appear (it will only happen once per user), but the user can simply close it and continue browsing. Adblock Plus remains a completely free extension and all contributions are 100% voluntary.

    If you are seeing the popup constantly, we apologize for the inconvenience. In this case, we would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the extension.

    It was awesome a long time ago. Now when I open Firefox and try to type in a URL, I'm constantly interrupted by an "ad block plus was updated" tab that is really just a contribution campaign ad and they "update" ABP every other day for no other reason than constantly flashing this stupid, annoying interruption in my face. ABP is now the #1 culprit in disruptive browser pop ups. I switched to ublock origin and couldn't be happier.

    Не способен блокировать рекламу из за нежелания разработчика внедрить решение для борьбы с динамическими модификаторами рекламы. Вместо этого, разработчик упорно делегирует это решение на сторонние приложения типа Tampermonkey с кучей неудобных ломающих работу, скриптов. Само же приложение ADblock бесполезно для русскоязычного YANDEX где концентрация российской рекламы 99.9%
