On my mission to find an extension for every social media website I use so I can retire having the app installed onto my phone, this was the closest I got to making Instagram more usable via Firefox for Android. It gets you pretty close, but there is an issue with the website that's perhaps outside the scope of this extension — remember the position you scroll to when going back from an image on a profile. Otherwise though it does exactly as it says, and overall simplifies your ability to consume content.

It works fine until last week, when browsers is in dark mode the download icon its hard to see

The color of the icons in dark mode is black. Cannot hardly see them

The best IG downloader in my experience, but the latest update introduced an annoying bug. On an Instagram page, when you’re on someone’s feed, you see their grid of images. When you click on one of the images and click the right arrow next to that image to page to the next image, with the extension loaded, it sometimes skips one or more of the images without you knowing it. So I have to click out of each image and click on the next image in the feed manually to make sure it is not skipping anything, a much more tedious, time-consuming process. I disabled all other extensions to make sure it was not caused by a conflict. Firefox 144.0.2 (64-bit) Mac

Works alright. Used to be able to download thumbnails for videos, but the download icon for this doesn't appear anymore

I tried many downloaders for Instagram, most are also for YouTube, none of them worked for me (one of them downloaded videos that were unreadable).

This extension worked right away, it adds a download button (a downward arrow) next to the regular Instagram buttons. (don't forget to reload your IG page if you just installed the extension).

There are great things about this addon and really annoying bugs about this addon.

>Great: video control bar that allows you to to go back the a point in the video you wanted easily. Of course the function of downloading pictures and videos, and also the option to open the picture and video in a new tab outside the main instagram page. in case you want that.

>Annoying:it often insists in saving the pics in the Download folder of windows even tho that's not where it's marked to save. It just does it anyway, it's really annoying. Doesn't happen all the time tho. But happens enough to make me wanna write this review.
Also sometimes it insists in lowering the volume to zero and it try to keep it there, you need to manually pull/slide the volume bar back so it lets the audio stay up.

If you fix these bugs i'll gladly give you 5 stars. Specially the ones where it insists in saving things on the download folder
