This extension was a 5/5 until recently when it started doubling the audio. this review noticed the exact same thing: https:// addons. mozilla. org/ en-US/ firefox/ addon/ instagram-video-control/ reviews/ 2602103/ . If this is fixed, then it will go back to being a 5/5.

stopped working all of a sudden

I was pulling my hair out with the lack of video controls on Instagram and finally came across this extension. It's PERFECT!

The extension is very good overall, however when opening videos from the search list, the sound is duplicated (playing both the one from the list and the one from the window that opens).
And when trying to open them in a new tab, I discovered that Firefox crashes (even restarting and reporting an error message) when opening about 3-5 windows.

NOTE: I tried opening about 25 tabs with video without the extension and had no problems.

Using this to prevent autoplay and add progress bar to videos. The only downsides are that it causes videos to kind of flicker as I'm scrolling, and I do have to manually unmute every video that I play. Overall, this extension is easy to use and makes instagram much more user-friendly.

Hey dev, i have a bug to report on firefox with this extention, i have been using this extension from 2/3 months now at this point, but recently i have notice that while scrolling through reels, it shrinks the frame into more vertical and it does while watching the video over n over, please advise any fix or are you already aware of it and working on a fix, Thank you

Unresposive 99% of the times.

Was looking for a fullscreen viewer, I had no idea video seeker and volume control was a possibility in the browser. Which begs the question even more strongly, why oh why does Instagram still not implement these 'features' (bare minimum) to the browser experience?!
That aside, what a wonderful surprise, a complete game changer for me as I have myriad Accessibility issues. I wish I'd discovered this months ago! Thank you for this.

This guy did the most necessary and user-requested thing that a billion-dollar company didn't know how to do or didn't bother to do.

It works very well and integrates very well into the Instagram UI, but I have the feeling that when the extension is enabled, RAM usage increases significantly.

However, I'll keep the extension disabled for now, hoping this will be fixed in the near future.
